Second-hand embarrassment.

Oh, how kind of you.

[Ancient Greek or no, Herc really doesn't look at his dad that way- but hey, there's probably some reason he's been such a success.]

On the contrary, it's rather plain you lack any sort of interest- but in answer, just as the proverbial 'devil's advocate', it is because one can mold them to greatness. It's been shown time and again in the mortal world, that a skilled and cunning leader is what makes a barbarian tribe into a great nation- and all the glory that nation achieves is reflected in its founder.

Yet since that road holds no interest for you, what does seem a fair fit? I daresay you would make a magnificent ambassador-at-large, your clever and devious mind a boon beyond compare such in a position of authority and respect- but I'm in no shape to say whether that would be a path open to you.

[Well obviously Earth WAS better, hence the losing- but if this Loki was tired of strife, Herc would hardly say against it. There had been too much suffering on all hands from his ambitions, Loki himself included; a sneer may look more suited to his face than laughter and merriment, but so much would be settled if the trickster just started having fun again.]
