Hey, long time no see, huh? I knew you wouldn't stay away for too long. Well, okay, it's been a couple years, but still - I figured you'd miss me sooner or later, and here you are! It's okay if you don't want to put me into a game, though. I get it - you're nervous about university still, and you want to make sure you have enough time to do your work and to spend time with the new friends you'll make. It's okay - really, it is! You've gotta settle down into your new life, trust me, I know how you feel.

It's just good to be back. I know I'm not your favourite any more - that honor went to a certain consulting detective - and that's fine with me. Just so long as I get let out every now and then, I'm fine with anything!

"Fine with anything", Wright? Given the overall biases of this medium, you'd be well-advised to be careful what you wish for.

I used to be her favourite. Sure, it was a little while ago, but she definitely put me through my paces. I'm not too worried.

Yeah, I do! I mean, she's been my mun for... wow, a long time. Like, six years? Maybe more. It's hard to keep track.

After a fashion. She is, if nothing else, intent on avoiding subjecting me to torture for its own sake as is apparently the most common pastime amongst these so-called "mundanes", and wishes to afford me the opportunity to pursue my preferred work. Forcing me through character development in potentially ironic ways, however, is another matter entirely.

Then it looks like we've gotten ourselves a couple of trustworthy muns, which is apparently pretty rare. So there's always that, right? Though I can't deny that she's put me into a few... uh, strange situations too - but I guess that's a complaint everyone has, when you get down to it.

Indeed. While at the moment I'm not in a game and she holds rather little hope of finding one suited to my needs, "strange situation" is an understatement with regards to the private storyline she's been subjecting me to.

I think I've been in most every game that used to be on livejournal, and that even includes Amatomnes. So just how strange is your situation now?

In the spirit of the games here, she's unceremoniously dropped me into her favorite Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting, known as Eberron. While it has the mercy of support for and encouragement of our sorts of, ahem, adventures, and she has no interest in deviating from my comfort zone in that particular respect, another aspect of the setting is being used against me in a rather embarrassing fashion.

I respect those deserving of respect, Mr. Wright. And one who underestimates me not only does so to his peril but also marks himself as a fool. So tell me: do you plan to underestimate me?

[Edgeworth's lips thin. He tries to keep his manner haughty, but it's clear enough that there's a certain degree of distress under his sneer.]
