To capture another living being and wear their skin so she may play that person as an actress plays her part. I myself have taken the role of many, but to be the role itself should only be a form of flattery if I am also the audience. Neither struggling on the slow path or dancing on the fast path, I am but a doll, ageless as my owner humors herself with me before inevitably growing tired and throwing me away, full of life only when a child sees me fit to be.
This is the fate that you have cast onto me, and yet I cannot charge you with blame. I have seen my future in your eyes, and I can see that only waiting here near the fireplace of your imagination may lead me once more to my Doctor. Yet, that there are many who wear his face and use his name surely boggles the mind. What promises that I will not see my own face in this world, another doll that bears my name held by another child? You delight yourself in twins and the alike, and yet you cry at the prospect of another actress wearing my skin. I myself am less than enthusiastic, but your insecurity shakes the soul. Hold your head up high, child, for there is nothing that will convince another of authenticity than confidence.
As for those who wish to doubt me, you are better off keeping their words far from your heart. Even in the Royal Court there were those I could not trust, and those who would call me enemy. It is best to continue on, despite their means to antagonize you.

There is great value in those most like us, for they show us the truth of who we are better than any others. Grants one the opportunity for self-reflection, if you're into that sort of thing.

I have done much self-reflection in Versailles, when I watched the stars, and I daresay I know myself better than anyone else. Still, for this child, I am still a new toy with hidden functions and elaborate clockwork, and strangely I find myself pleased that she cannot easily wear my mask and do as she likes carelessly, as she has done with many of her other toys.
However, that leaves me left idle, too foreign to send to another world, and yet she is all too tempted to do so. I have heard that you will be going to another world in the near future?
