Let me out! Out! OUT!

Rrrrgh! It's too stuffy, too cramped, too terribly boring I tell you! You're like to drive a man mad in here, positively bonkers for sure! There's nothing funny about any of this! Lock me up? Lock me, me of all people, up!? I haven't heard such a bad joke in all my life! Stop it, I said stop it!

Abandoning all of them, sure, fine, that's one thing, but you can't just cast me aside! You started this little act, this ridiculous performance, this fraudulent show...! You can't just pull the curtains before the final act; you're not even planning a final act! Step up, be a man, rrrgh!

It's one thing to lack, to lack all those sorts of things, to lack having my hands right in the middle of things, fiddling with all the, ah, inner workings... But this, this, this! This is different. It would seem that I have strings attached, a little man behind the curtain, an utterly infuriating lack of control. I could have all the plans in the world, but nothing at all to get to that one. The one that is the problem.

[ This is all such a joke, but it's not one that the Joker's about to laugh at. ]

I find the make up to be highly curious.

[ Sounds like Batman would be right at home in Asgard with those little spiky nubs on his head; he might feel a bit inadequate, though. The Joker, meanwhile, thinks they look mighty clunky. Meanwhile, he's just all smiles; his own smile distorting the red one he wears. ]

Oh, this? I could tell quite the tale about this, see, quite the clever story, a fascinating narrative, a positively captivating epic. Would you care to hear it?

[There might be a few 'horn size' jokes thrown his way if he ever showed up.

[That name is said with quite a bit of smug pride in his voice. He certainly thinks highly of himself

[ The Joker pauses, turning back slightly. The prideful tone isn't lost on him. ]

A fairy tale sort? Oh, oh dear; it would seem my first impressions of you were far too optimistic. Is that all? Please tell me there's some sort of humorous twist involved, won't you?

[Loki stiffens visibly. Was this pathetic mortal mocking him?] There happens to be quite a difference between myth and fairy tales. I am the god of trickery, a master lie smith, and considered quite chaotic.

[ And now the Joker's facing Loki again, quickly taking steps towards him. ]

Trickery? Lies? Chaos? Oh, from you? You expect me to believe you? Take me as an example of chaos won't you? You knew, see, from the very first look, oh yes, what sort of man I am. It took you but a glance, a single passing eye and you understood. You? No, no. Not one little bit, not at all.

[ The Joker's face twists into a scowl, distorting the red smile upon his face; Loki's claim clearly having rubbed him the wrong way. Proof lies in actions, not in empty words. ]

You're disappointing.

[ An ability of hers? To pass through any and all walls. Right now? She sits on a hole she made in the 4th wall. ] Temper, temper...

Now. Searching for a way out, are we?

[ Oh, when did you get there, lady? Either way, the Joker's not going to worry about how you snuck up on him. What he's more concerned about is that she mentioned an escape. ]

Ah, I might be, oh yes. Are you implying there's an exit i've gone and overlooked? I won't forgive you if you intend to keep it a secret from me, see, especially now that you've come to visit.

[ She rests her head on her hands, interlacing long fingers delicately. ] Not quite, not quite. [ That would be far too generous of her, especially if she's not offered anything in return. ] Somtimes ways must be chiseled out bit by bit. If not in a game, there are other things to do in the meantime. Things that may bring more inspiration to your mundane.

[ He longs to be free, and none of those things fulfill that need. A game would bring further entrapment, though more than enough pawns and tools for him to entertain himself. The options bring a scowl to his face. ]

I'd rather cut the strings, hmm? Move free, see, of my own accord, tied to no one, trapped in no place, such fun that would be, hm? Free to mix and mingle with all, and of course to terrorize.

Come now, why the frown, why the seriousness? [ Aaand she sits up from her perch, deciding to float down towards him. She may be subtle in many ways, but entrances are certainly not one of them. ] There is plenty of freedom... if you do not look for it.

[ Oh, floating, that's something that has his attention almost immediately. There's more to this girl than he originally thought, and for that he's right back to smiling. ]

... That is most certainly an intriguing trick. Tell me, what do you know of the freedom you speak of?
