Thank you for allowing me in your 'headspace' even if it's spur of the moment. I'm really happy to get a chance to meet people; everyone has been really nice here. Not that I have anything against being with Daddy.

Is he here? I want to tell him... I don't hate him for what he did. Everyone was able to stop the outbreak in the end.

[She closes her eyes and smiles weakly]

[yeah, he. Doesn't know anything about Rosalia or Albert, so he's just assuming they're patients of some sort. He knows she's been working in forensics, but hey, she might have done first aid or something for them? Who even knows.]

We should be thankful she was around at that time, then. She's helped me out before in the past, as well, actually.

[Rosalia's curious because she doesn't know Naomi was a surgeon.]

Yeah. A few years back, I needed an operation, and Dr. Kimishima was the only one around capable of performing it.

She was a surgeon before? Wow!

You didn't know? [well, it probs made sense that she didn't know, when he thought about it. She wasn't exactly fit to perform operations as of late, and had been working in forensics instead.]

Yeah, she used to work in the European branch of Caduceus for some time, and that's where I had the chance to meet her. [not... gonna mention Delphi. Partially because ew Delphi, but mostly because it's not really his place to mention it.]

No. She only helped us recently.

Dad mentioned Caduceus. He was going to contact them when he finished his research. [She pauses, thinking] Are... you part of Caduceus?

[That mention of research interests him, yep. But he'll answer that question first.]

I am, yeah. I'm Derek Stiles, a surgeon at Caduceus' USA branch, actually. Sorry, I probably should have asked your name sooner. You are?

[She fidgets on her feet a little.]

Dr. Stiles then... I'm Rosalia Rossellini.

[Rosalia Virus, Rosalia Rossellini... had to be a coincidence. Clearly.]

If I can ask, what sort of research did your father want to talk with Caduceus about?

[She smiles a bit, not as nervous... until Dr. Stiles asks about that]

He's a professor that studies viruses. [He was, but she's not dead, he's alive somewhere right now too. That makes sense, right?]

[As far as Derek's concerned, that's that's a more than acceptable answer. While he might not have known what he was working on, it more than made sense that a virologist would want to talk to Caduceus about their work.]

Really? We probably could've used his help around Caduceus, you know. You can't have too many doctors that specialize in viruses when it comes to the things we've had to deal with.

It would be too dangerous. It would've been like the college again.

He says you're all amazing doctors and if there was an outbreak there, it would be really bad.

[He's not sure what college she's talking about, but he can concede that an outbreak of whatever was being studied would be very very bad.]

Well, yes, it would be bad, but Caduceus is well equipped for handling that sort of thing. It's a bit different than a university in that regard.

[She wants to believe Derek, but she's really not sure how anyone besides her brother could be prepared.]

Cumberland College. And he tried to stop it.

[he has the healing touch, everything will be okay. Unless it involves Emilio, oops.]

Cumberland...? [Now that she mentions that, he does recognize that name from the news years ago]

He was researching that?

[That was probably too soon still.]

Yes. He wanted to use the cure to end all diseases.

Well, I can't say I don't share the same feelings. About wanting to cure all diseases, that is. But... [but he clearly went about things the wrong way]

[She should meet him...]

I know and I'm sorry. I should have stopped him... but I wanted him to succeed.

H-hey, that's no reason to feel guilty! Anyone would have wanted him to succeed. And besides, there was no way you could have known what was going to happen.

[They would be unstoppable.]

I did know there was a chance. It's from my body after all.

Well, I still maintain there's no way you could have known what exactly would have happened. It doesn't seem to be affecting you.

I've seen it affect others. Ms. Kimishima called me a natural host.

[indeed they would. Secretary Anderson can join the feel bad club, even though he's not very adorable like Rosalia and Emilio.]

I'd trust Dr. Kimishima's judgment there, she's probably more familiar with this whole situation than I am.
