Honestly, Mun, I'm flattered that you picked me up. I don't get too many chances to stretch my legs, and it's nice to have someone to chat with besides Sesemann and the rest of the Council. And no, talking to Jade doesn't count as "chatting". Yulia knows that tracking him down for a talk is more for his benefit than mine.

Much as I'm flattered, though, my running off to have adventures in some inter-dimensional nexus would leave Malkuth rather emperor-less. It's a tempting offer, but I can only pull off the plainclothes act here for a few hours tops before my attendants get all flustered. Going AWOL for a few months would be hell on all of us. (And don't think that I don't know about games where time "stops" for everyone back home. "All of us" includes me, too.) So as fun as it sounds to go and be a superhero or to fly around in a spaceship, I don't have much choice except to pass.

If I had any other job, you know that I'd be sold on this. I don't like to be a stick in the mud, but my people have to come first.

Being the boss is fine and dandy, but sitting around the palace all day can leave a guy feeling pretty useless. It'd be nice to get my hands dirty, just once in a while, without an attendant or three complaining about me tracking in filth.

Around here, there aren't too many ways to do something constructive like that besides getting into a game.

I'm sure with a touch of creative genius it can't be that hard to be more hands on. Besides you run the country. I don't see why you'd honestly have that much trouble with them.

At the end of the day, you're their boss. Might as well assert your authority once and awhile.

That's a tad beside the point. Be creative and come up with some political reasoning to be out and about a few times. It's actually pretty easy.
