(no subject)

You can't be serious.  Not only do you not have a plan, I'm pretty sure you don't have the clearance.  Wait, why are you queuing up our first missions, again?  Fine.  Fine.  I'm obviously not going to change your mind.

Because when they don't have a plan, they review canon and make a plan. That's how mun types roll.
(Or in my mun's case they... actually watch my grand entrance for the first time. She fell off the wagon for a while and then clambered back on with a vengeance.)

Well, of course she owes you good icons. That's the whole point.
Mine is still trying to figure out what she wants to AU and how she wants to do it. She's... not digging some of the current season plot, or how the last one wrapped up. (And that's not even getting into the HG Wells conundrum.)
Tell her to do the work with the show on in the background. Compromise!

[psh. Who needs safe? It's home. That's the important thing.]
Or where she's taking you to, which could be just as important. I wouldn't do well with the 'lolz you can never go home again' settings - good news is, neither does my mun, aside from the fact that she only has time and brainpan for the one game. And even though it's an interdimensional space, it's one I can leave when I want.
Usually.

...Well, that's a... semi-useful batch of icons to leave me with, DW. Be more useful if we had a Jinksy, but I'll take what I can get (especially since he's not around yet...). At least I got to keep the badass one.
Anyway. You're good at bringing the Earth logic - it's just a question of whether she'll listen to it. Or anyone else up there, really. I think the voice of reason in these parts is... actually Rebecca.

Yeah, well, sometimes the voice that sticks around isn't the one they have the most in common with. Keeps things interesting, or something.
lookattheworld: (Oh is that so?)

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-03 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Giving up so soon? That's hardly like you, Myka.
lookattheworld: (I have an app for that)

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-03 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Which she notices, but doesn't comment on. Yet.]

Oh? Battles, such as?
lookattheworld: (I'll be borrowing that jacket.)

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-03 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. Time is the longest distance between two places, is it not? [She knows Myka will recognize Tennessee Williams; there isn't even a doubt in her mind. It's a familiar feeling, the same she had in the warehouse. No room for doubt that she was doing the right thing.]

Although I have heard that time can do exactly that, where these mundanes of ours are concerned.

[And that earns a smile, a small one, and maybe a little sad. Helena looks down, and reaches for the locket around her neck. On anyone else, it might be an idle habit, but the locket means too much for anything about it to be idle.]

The scent of apples, [she says when she looks up again. The smile was still there.]
lookattheworld: (I have an app for that)

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-03 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[She might have tried talking Myka out of it, if not for the mention of Artie. She knew what it was to hold so tightly to the past, to reach toward death and keep a grip so tight you don't realize it's begun to pull you along with it.

She doesn't want Myka to go through what she went through, with her time machine. To have all that hope violently ripped away. Helena tucks the locket back into her shirt, and offers that bright smile that always looks real, but tends to hide something else.]

Well, I can't say I wouldn't like that. The warehouse's affection is all well and good, but I'd much rather put up with Pete's scent on a regular basis.
lookattheworld: (How do we get into this)

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-06 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[More on the absolutely side than the probably.] I hope you aren't missing me too much, Myka.

[Translation: pls don't do something stupid okay. :c]
lookattheworld: (I believe the kids are calling it lulz)

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-12 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
That's a bit simplistic, don't you think? We both know what it is to miss someone so fiercely it hurts. But I don't think you've built yourself a time machine, yet.
lookattheworld: (Well this wasn't in the plan)

Being less sick is very good :C

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-17 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Artie's plan, yes. Has he mentioned what it is? [ She worries. She wouldn't wish her obsession on anyone. ]
lookattheworld: (Oh is that so?)

Good doctor :c

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-17 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, of course. I don't know why I expected any different.

Has he begun mumbling yet?
lookattheworld: (Now that's adorable.)

lmao ditto :c

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-17 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Claudia ought to whip up a translation program.

:p

[personal profile] lookattheworld 2012-09-17 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
No doubt. I'd wonder if an artifact was at work, if things were any different.

Home. [ She smiles, fiddles with her necklace again. ] That is the best word for it, isn't it?
smelledapples: (With Myka.)

[personal profile] smelledapples 2012-09-05 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[ She's a little surprised to see you again. Considering that she has'nt since the warehouse almost exploded. But she smiles all the same.]

Same old Bering.
