But I know what it's like to be sensitive. Kheheh, back when I was pregnant things got a bit tense a few times with Minato. I was definitely angry more times than I was sad though.

[Fidget strikes a pose.]

[Fidget flits up and darts around until perched on Kushina's shoulder.]

[A small laugh at the cute pose, kya it's cute, but then she looks in surprise at it.

Just gonna make yourself at home on her shoulder, huh?]

Fidget, huh? Did you get that name from moving around a lot?

[Hey, she weighs less than a pound. Besides, it's not like you've got anything else on your shoulder.]

Nah, I've always been called Fidget. My tribe just teases me because I get bored easy.

[Of course, if she wasn't easily distracted by shiny objects, maybe she wouldn't have lost sight of the mystic blade of legend flying off on her watch.]

Kheheh, I know the feeling. When I get bored I kind of have a tendency to pick up my old bad habits like pulling pranks on people.

So I'm usually busy doing all sorts of stuff around the house to keep myself from doing it.

[Except her husbando still gets pranked plenty.]

All sorts! Minato was my favorite target, kheheheh. It was always a challenge to catch him off guard.

Since I got pregnant, I had to settle with pranks sometimes and just taking care of the house. That's what a wife is supposed to do.

I can't really prank Dust too much. He's too big really.

[Overdramatic sigh goes here.] It's such a burden to be petite and gorgeous all the time...

[Fidget then blinks and flits off Kushina's shoulder to get a better look.]

[And cue a flurry of paws whapping at your head, Kushina.]

That doesn't mean we're married! Dust just has the sword I was supposed to be guarding so I kinda have to follow him!

[If she had claws, Kushina. If only she had claws.]

[She sputters out a 'Hey!' while she does so, lifting her arms to try and shield herself. It's not like those little paws hurt but it's a knee-jerk reaction.

No claws pls.]

Right...sorry. So you're friends?

[Fidget crosses her arms, doing her best to look indignant.]

Dust is just the bearer of the Blade of Arrah, which I've been charged with protecting. And since Arrah chose Dust, instead of the other way around, I'm duty-bound to support him in all he does.

I don't want to believe that Obito could cause this much turmoil in the world.. [So many lost lives. So much destruction. It's horrific.]

It's a time that was supposed to be happy and a new beginning! I was looking forward more than anything for the two of us to get older and watch Naruto.

[Minato reaches over to her to takes her hand.] I want to grow old with you and watch our son come up too. I know things would have been vastly different if we had been able to do that.

Hopefully, if that masked man is truly Obito, we will get some answers.

[Ah...her angry expression slowly softens and then h er hand curls around his, holding it gently while she listens.

When he finishes, she looks down at their hands, brow puckering.]

I just want to know why.

We need to know why. If it was because of what happened to him..I could understand him harboring angry or resentment to me and the rest of the village. [A day didn't go by that Minato didn't regret what happened to Obito.]

[fervidity]

H-How can you say that?! Nothing justifies destroying your own home or killing your people! Nothing could ever justify what he did to Naruto! He forced him to grow up as a jinchuuriki without the love of his parents! We had to abandon our son!

I'm not saying that what happened with him justifies anything that he has done up until this point. And it disappoints me greatly that anyone from our own village can be capable of this, betraying their comrades and friends. And I can't forgive him for any of the actions that he has taken.

But war changes people. It breeds hatred and bitterness. And the things that happen in a war can twist people in the worst way like that.

[fervidity]

[Kushina knows this better than anyone, how much hatred and bitterness it breeds. She lost her home to it. But it wasn't a Whirlpool ninja that destroyed her home.]

Madara Uchiha...he attacked the village and the Shodaime too.

[And then Orochimaru. Now Obito. Eventually Sasuke... Anybody on your team try to do Konoha in, Minato?]

But Obito wasn't anything like Madara! That's why...that's why I just don't understand.

[He sure hopes not. Konoha has suffered enough betrayal.]

That's why I don't understand it either. No one ever could have predicted that he would become like this. [Even stranger is that the real Madara is aware of him. At least that's what it seemed like when he was brought back.]
