Look, I'm going to say this once, and only once. I'm not jealous. Yeah, it hurts she doesn't remember me, but that's not her fault. I can't be mad at her for something that isn't her fault. As for Jason and Roy... I really don't need to be thinking about... that. Kory's free to be with whoever she chooses. I had my chance, and ultimately blew it. If they make her happy, that's all I could ask.

...I do think she could do better than Jason, but she's been a positive influence on him. God knows he needs it.

Yeah. Doesn't help that Joker beat him with a crowbar and killed him alongside his long-lost mother.

He grew up on Gotham's streets. Batman caught him trying to steal the tires off the Batmobile. Instead of taking him to the cops, Batman took him in, gave him a taste of the good life, trained him to make a difference, and I even handed off the mantle of Robin. He owes Batman more than he could ever repay, and he blames Batman for not saving him despite making it all but impossible for Batman to find him.

...Something that he did anyway, and was just a couple minutes too late to save him.

[And therein lies the crux of everything. It's not really about Jason and Kory, it's about how Dick is insulted at how Jason treated the Robin title, and blamed Batman for his death.]

Human nature. Why do you think so many exes can't go back to being friends? Once you've seen somebody with everything stripped away, emotionally and physically, you can't pretend it never happened. You left your mark there, and no matter how much time passes, a little piece of your subconscious will resent other males sniffing around your territory.
