Y'know, this always happens.
Just when I get comfortable? I'm somewhere else. It's getting so that on every quiet day I walk around arm. Like...Pavlov's dog or whatever. Carter'd know.
But anyways, point is? Pick something and stick with it already, for crying out loud. And can it be something fun? Nothing all dark and serious and blah blah blah. You know the score, none of the overly dramatic stuff. I wouldn't mind just avoiding the whole 'villain hell bent on conquest' part. Now, as for that whole 'cast mates' thing. Let's aim for that, shall we?

Sorry... I just had to... *Totally being a fan-girl atm...*
Ouch... I would say that my mun happy to see you....
[A sigh of exasperation]
... I apologize in advance for whatever my mun tries to convince yours to do...
((OOC: Are you just on DW or are you on LJ too?))
And you are apologizing for playing a brilliant character from a brilliant movie...why? :P
So that's what that was. Good to know I'm not hearing things. And sure, apology accepted. In advance.
[He blinks a few times]
Y'know, not every day I get to meet a talking fox. [He ponders for a moment] Then again, you probbaly think I'm a talking hairless ape, so...all balances out.
[He gestures with one hand in a slow motion to emphasize that]
((OOC: And I'm at both, same name.))
Um... IDK? XD I would say making his brain break.... but... with his job...
[The mun puts up a link {http://thewake-rp.livejournal.com/profile} and Marian just shakes her head.]
If you stick around places like this long enough, you'll meet all sorts. .... The giant robots do take some getting used to though...
[Marian looks somewhat embarrassed as she remembers her manners.]
Oh my, where are my manners? [A curtsy] My name is Maid Marian.
It's a pleasure to meet you Sir.
((OOC: Sweet... I swore I wouldn't use this account unless the game I'm re-applying to decides to move... but... oh well... I'm at the same name on lj too. Oh, and I am so enabling you to go check out the Wake. It's a sweet game.))

[He goes with a very rusty bow because, well, she's polite and, well, what else do you do when confronted with a talking fox?]
Umm, pleasure's all mine?
((OOC: And I'm now considering it :) ))
no subject
It's somewhat surprising how quickly you become used to them...
[It hadn't taken her much time after all, and she's only 3'7".]
Though I can't say I'm too thrilled about losing my memories when I go back...
((OOC: I am such an enabler... :p ))
no subject
As must you...being a Maid.
((OOC: Enabling is a wonderful thing. I encourage you to try out fandom_smash either here or on livejournal, too.))
no subject
Oh? If you do not mind me asking, what is it that you do?
[Marian looks a little perplexed as he mentions her status.]
I'm afraid I do not quite understand... What does my marital status have to do with work?
[She doesn't quite understand what he's getting at, since in her time a 'Maid' is either a young/unmarried female, or a virgin.]
((OOC: I will, once I get my edits made to Marian's app for the Wake... I don't want to stretch myself too thin. ;) Oh, and sorry about the slow replies, I had a wedding to attend. I'm totally wiped out...))
no subject
Oh, see, here I thought you turned down the beds or...milked the cows. [Though, since she's a talking fox.] If they allow you to, at any rate.
And me? Oh, I save worlds. Most of the time. I also fish.
Aren't cultural misunderstandings fun? lol
[Oh look, you've managed to completely confuse, slightly disturb, totally fluster and flummox Marian. Considering all animals are 'people' in her world... well...]
Why in heaven's name....?!? No... Never mind... I do not think I want to know....
[Marian decides to try and steer away from that topic, since she doesn't think he's trying to be creepy... but..]
You save worlds? That sounds difficult... [She sounds both amazed and skeptical at the same time. Robin had saved England from Prince John... but saving the word? and more than one at that? If he was being truthful, that was really something.]
[Why, yes Jack. She is ignoring the 'fish' part of that statement. Can you tell?]
There should be a saturday afternoon special :P
Well, yes, it's...very difficult. But it gets easier after the first time. By the third time, you're pretty confident you're going to kick the enemy's skeevy butt halfway across the galaxy.
[He pauses]
Ok, that's probably an...unfamiliar concept to you, now that I think of it.
I would so watch that. Bonus points if it was done Simpsons style. XD
After the third...? [Ok. Now she sounds impressed.] That really is something... but... what's a galaxy?
[She chooses to ignore his ah, somewhat colorful language... Mostly because she has no idea what the slang really means, even if she has an idea..]
... Do I really want to know? [Since her mun is snickering at the idea of him trying to explain 'fishing', Marian figures that she probably doesn't....]

Oh, umm...y'know all those stars you see at night? Probably see more than we do, come to think of it. What with no electric lights and all.
[He waves that away, though]
It's all a bit complicated, but...my job is pretty much keeping them from being conquered, destroyed, or otherwise put in jeopardy. You'd think I'd get paid more.
no subject
Really? The stars?... You go.... That's .... [Give her a moment, she's never really thought much about what's beyond the Earth.] That's... amazing.
You protect them then? [A thoughtful pause] So you're like Robin then? [A small giggle.] Robin would probably agree with you on the pay too.
[Because in her mind everyone must know who Robin Hood is.]
no subject
You want to sit down? Some people want to sit down. And...yes? Maybe? Depends on the Robin.
[He's going to play a hunch, based on the name, here]
If you mean Robin Hood? Big fan.
