I hardly think it's your fault, even if your timing is... less than desirable.
Games have these problems all the time, do they not? Yes, that one game died right after you joined as that... Antivan fellow, and this one is undergoing some form of major change in power, but this happens to every game. Even the ones you've never heard of.
You can't logically believe that you're cursed when you're not always involved, now can you?
Yes, you see now. Logically the only real explanation is terrible luck. And we all have that happen, don't we? Even the mighty Urtho had his moments of poor timing and poor luck.
Well of course he wasn't trying to 'role play'. At least, not during the war. But the stakes were a bit higher, don't you think?
I'll tell you what I think; I think you're worrying over nothing, and take that from me-- I am an expert at worrying over nothing! Perhaps by the time 'apps open' next month, things will have sorted themselves out for the best, and tying yourself in mental knots will have been for nothing. It's just as likely as any other outcome.
Now, doctor's orders: you're to drink a nice mug of tea and read a good book. No more fretting over this place until at least September. Off with you!

[ Calling someone a 'mundane' is just too strange. What does it mean? Someone without Gifts? It seems a bit insulting to him. ]
Although fretting tirelessly over everything beneath the stars has sometimes produced results, it isn't a hobby I recommend. If it wasn't for Gesten, I think I would have driven myself quite mad by now.
