Supposedly there is a way home through gaining favor. But on has ascended high enough to confirm it.

It is the most efficient way, yes. We can earn favor through guild missions and by defending the country if it is attacked... but it... is not particularly effective.

The curses I have experienced thus far have been more bothersome than anything. I have not seen anything like the level of coercion Atia has used.

People are separated into castes. When you arrive you'll be in the lowest caste, called 'Das'. Each caste is separated into different areas of the Country, though you can come and go through the other areas regardless of caste. There will be a brand somewhere on your body that notes your current caste.

The rest of us... [alright for the first time she'll kind of trip over her own words] have ascended to the next caste. I am sure Edward will insist that you stay with him, there is more than enough room in the Ryot flats.
