Homeless and looking
No! No, I am not. I've seen what you do with - and to - mechs in these "games" of yours, you and others like you. Forget it!
. . . I hate you.
(Because his mun just reminded him how much he's been missing his trine

8D
...I'm listening.
[If the mech wants. Thundercracker won't force him to share . . . but he won't deny he's morbidly curious, either.]
Re: 8D
It...the war was just starting on Cybertron. Our home was the Crystal Sector. Was it yours, too...?
I--anyway, when the Autobot-Decepticon split started, Crystal Sector declared itself Unaligned. The current Prime...Optimus Prime, did not like that.
[Starscream takes a shuddering breath, trying to collect himself again. This was eerie. TC should know this part--his TC, anyway. Not this one.]

[Thundercracker shakes his head at the question, a mild frown crossing his faceplates as he allows his mind the luxury of remembering back to those days for a moment.]
I was Vosnian, originally. [He glances at the other mech, clarifying in case the other's Cybertron doesn't - didn't - have the same locations.] Vos. One of the city-states.
[His scowl deepens at the rest. He's figuring he can already guess where this is headed.]
Your Prime doesn't like Neutrals?
gah how could i forget about vos when crafting his mirror backstory DX quick fix here
[Shook his head.]
I was told the Crystal Sector was the last remnant of Vos, and all I knew in my time. Even historically my home had...fallen on hard times under the Councils' reign. At first under Prime's it was actually improving, but then the Prime...changed, and the war started and...no, no, he did not like Neutrals.
He placed our--
[Had to remember this wasn't his TC.]
--my home under siege. My trine and I joined one of the squadrons to seek out what resources we could.
One day we were ambushed; only our leader was killed; the rest of us were captured. [Starscream paused again, gathering himself.]
Heh, that works! XD
[Thundercracker couldn't help the faint shudder that ran through his frame. Maybe he was just too indoctrinated or something, but . . . no matter how goody-goody the Autobots acted even on the battlefield, the thought of capture... Yeah, not going to happen.]
[There was a part of him that almost wanted to reach a hand to the other mech's shoulder. It'd be an unbecoming gesture, though, possibly a weakness. Instead he just nodded, quiet as he waited for the other flyer to regather himself.]

We were taken to a space station, the Omicron Labs, and experimented upon. The Autobots were trying to create an indestructible spark. Preferred to test on their enemies rather their own group.
I was the only one deemed to be a success. The Autobot scientists'--Ratchet's first thought was that my kin would similarly respond successfully to the treatment. You, Skywarp--mine, anyway. They did not survive.
[It had been all his fault, if he hadn't survived, Ratchet wouldn't have thought Thundercracker and Skywarp would work out.]
None of my comrades did.
[Shook his head bitterly.] Then it was determined that my spark had already been randomly, naturally mutated before their little procedure. But it could never be determined if the mutation was a catalyst for the experiment's success or not.

[Captured . . . and tortured. With experiments. Another shudder runs through him, deeper this time. A hand brushes over his canopy, subconsciously "protecting" his spark.]
...I'm sorry.
[A weak response at best...but what else can he say?]

[Desperate voice stops as he remember it's not his Thundercracker.]
...So. Back to your question. It's...different, I've been given every indication that I'll outlive everyone I know, and it's...not a comforting thought. At all.
no subject
[He has to search back through his datatracks to remember what his original question had been. ...oh. Oh. Now the depth of reaction made sense.]
I don't imagine it would be.
[His voice is quiet at that as he tries to fathom. Unlike the apparent norm, he wouldn't want to live forever. Especially if it meant living without his trinemates.]
What do you do now?
no subject
After...after that...well, Megatron helped me escape, and provided medical treatment for me. I have served him ever since.
no subject
[He snorts, decidedly NOT favoring his own mundane with a glance, however baleful.]
Yeah. Besides that.
...willingly?
[There's a faint stiffening to his frame, but he has to remind himself . . . different realities, different personalities. For as different as this Starscream is from his, it only stands to reason that their Megatron's are not the same either.]
no subject
Lord Megatron is not forcing me into anything. In his own way, he's been kind to me. He was merciful at a time when I...when I desperately needed mercy. I owe him.
...And my home had fallen to the Siege. I couldn't stay Unaligned after everything that happened, and the Autobots....
[Growls.]
Megatron and the Decepticons not only tended to me, but also fought the Autobots. There may've been nowhere else to go, but there wasn't any place I would rather be. I stayed with those who had helped me, and offered a chance to fight against those who cost me everything.
[It occurs to Starscream that part of why he's admitting so much is because he's finally talking with Thundercracker again, even a different version of him.]
*HUGS!* Musebox?
Merciful . . . Hmn, not a word I would have assigned to Megatron.
Guess that's just part of the whole "other realities" thing.
Sounds like you've found a good home at least.
Sure! ...how does a Musebox work exactly? ^^;
Sorry for late reply! Also indulging in some headcanon I'd probably keep out "actual" games. XD;;;
[He stiffens a little . . . optics darting to either side even though he knows Megatron isn't here to hear him. He huffs softly at himself.]
He is . . . a tyrant. He is the strongest of us, a fact he makes sure no one forgets.
[There is an undercurrent of anger below the surface calm - anger and...carefully-buried horror.]
((A musebox is an rp community, but /really/ loosely organized...LOL if any organization at all. Some have some structure to them, some don't. I've not been into many myself, so I can't speak for much. A friend of mine mods one called
