On Recent Developments in Canon

Yes mundane, I too am rather saddened and unimpressed by the news that was released this morning regarding a new development having to do with that new version of myself. I can't imagine ever looking at Kal in that light, or him seeing me as anything other than a friend.

Yet this is what the writers wish to happen. We shall simply have to wait this out and hope for the best.

There is rarely anything more to be done about such a situation, alas. Ever since the publishers gained the notion that 'any attention is good attention', all we might hope for is dips in sales and remembering that much like The Nineties, this too shall pass.

Yes, sister. I am anxiously awaiting the storyline where they reveal that my mother has the ability to take my powers away with a single touch. I am sure that storyline will be followed by one in which I travel the world, learning martial arts and fighting without my powers, only to have Kal save me repeatedly.

That is what happens in our world when we are relegated to girlfriend status, is it not? It certainly happened to Dinah for awhile.

I am not sure of anything in that new universe, to be honest. I myself am so different there, I can't begin to imagine the changes that may have been placed upon Kal.

It truly is a travesty. Koriand'r herself as not fared well in this reboot, it pains me to say.

Most of the second generation - your generation - seem to have been wiped away completely, with only a few remaining.

One would hope, but given the many incarnations and changes of direction I have been given throughout the years, including the one directly before this reboot, well...I am hardly surprised, I am disappointed to admit.

That is my title, yes. The name I carry as an icon. I like to believe that I am more than simply that, though - a person, with flesh, and blood, and history. That all seems to have been done away with in favour of horror and shock value and the personality of one who is more wonderless than wondrous.
