homeless forever

Don't be like that. You know you couldn't resist.

You know you're never going to be able to put me anywhere but these one-shot 'memes', right? I mean the cover of a book's good for a start, but there's a whole history here you're kind of missing out on. Well. You and the rest of the country.

Whatever. Look, just keep the party going and I'll be fine. Just don't throw me any of the serious crap. None of this rehab bullshit, no house arrest with 'Nana. I don't need it.

I'll be fine.

Really.

They seem to be big on doing things like that. Small victories when you can get them, I guess.

No kidding. [ he's here, after all. pretty much a serious bomb in any situation. ] Yours isn't one to keep it light. Toss mine into the mix and things could get messy.

Not around here. If there were someone running around with my face, I'd know it.

[ more importantly, the red room would know it, and he can't imagine any universe where they wouldn't exploit the information. ]

You may not make it out unscathed with her, but as far as everyone else goes -- you could probably keep a low profile.

Okay, well. I think things people have really put their heart into have beauty. Maybe not the drawings of four year olds that go on refrigerators, but there's a sort contrast love affair with the work that really good painters have. You can tell, whether we're talking baroque or modern. Not just paintings, of course, but architecture, too. But that's difficult, to tell someone "It looks like he really enjoyed building this," but I think it's true anyway. There's a sort of richness to that.
