You're planning on doing what with Lord Ashur's daughter?

Ashur? I thought he died when I was a kid.

We'd all be a lot better off if he had, ma'am. Apparently one of the Pitt natives tried to get his armor off his corpse and found out it wasn't a corpse at all.

That so? Can't really recall any of the older members speaking ill of him, but then again, we thought he was dead.

He was probably fine when he was among the Brotherhood, ma'am. He's set himself up as Lord of the Pitt these days. The raiders answer to him and the slaves he's been taking from anywhere he can get them answer to the raiders.

Well, shit. And I thought the Outcasts were bad...

He found a working steel mill, ma'am. He's taking slaves to keep it operational, because the city's so poisoned that they can't have children of their own. Most of them mutate or get sick within a few months of being born. The lucky ones just get cancer. So he feels he has to get 'workers' from elsewhere, because it's more important to keep the mill working and build the city's army than... anything else really.

(Yes, she's making air quotes around 'workers'.)

A working steel mill's a good thing, but shit, this is the wrong way to go about things on so many levels.

Starting to think some of us might have to take a trip back there and deal with some unfinished business.

Can't say I'd be one to object, ma'am. But he is serious about building an army; when you've got access to steel and to a decent ammo press it becomes a lot easier to arm and protect your people. Even if they're just raiders, there's a lot of them.

(My mun's got plans involving Milliways. Mind you, she's kind of fond of taking things AU when they don't make as much sense as they should, and of continuing well past the point where canon is over.)
