FINALLY! It's about time! Do you think you can finish this thing before you go to sleep? I really think you should go for it, but don't forget to check your work! Everything would be ruined if you submitted an application that had a lotta mistakes just because you weren't careful.

What I don't appreciate is you making light of that which I gave up to make you both strong. Is that clear enough for you? No children, no husband, no simple existence. Only sending boys to die, and my life threatened almost constantly. But if you have 'cooler' [the words sounds foreign and odd] uses for your time, then by all means -- as you said this is not my court, and I will not inflict my presences on if it is so distasteful.

[now she just looks--and feels--really confused. She puffs out a cheek.] All I'm hearin' is you did your job best you could. The hell did I say that was mocking that? I said England's a dick and love's blind.

[amelia folds her hands behind her back, rolling on her heels. She's always full of energy, but it's not necessarily the good kind. Her limbs are restless, she can always feel the loud hammering thrum of her people, landscape and borders in the back of her head. It makes her want to move and live and work.]

You mocked my love for him by implying he is not worthy of it. You said I was blind as if I did not know what I was doing. I was blind when I loved Dudley and Seymour, no more then a child. I married my country with my eyes open as to what I was doing, as to who he was and what his intentions were. No, he is not the kindest of men, not compared to some, nor has he had reason to be. My land never fostered kindness, only strength. It makes the moments when he is kind all the more dear to me.

[Elizabeth for her part, drawn up to her full height, is still and untouchable as ever. She would never be an open and affectionate woman that way. Much like England, no doubt.]

I'm proud that you are strong, I just wish things had been different between you both. [and she dreaded the day that the idealism turned to ash.]

[she's already hit the beginning of disillusion, don't worry. amelia faces Elizabeth's legendary queenly behavior with another shrug. She is just as stubborn as England.]

I didn't say any of that. [amelia says this honestly, tilting her head to one side.] And hey, if you wanna go wishing stuff and digging up what's done, take it to him.

--Yeah let's talk about something else now! So okay, you're Liz I, but we're on Liz II now. No, wait, I don't want to talk about England. Let's talk about me! You know I've been on the moon, right?!

Oh, the moon? What was it like?

Completely barren! [says this so excitedly it's like it's the complete opposite of what she said--lush and full of resources (though technically the latter is true...)]

It has this kinda glow on it because of the way the surface reflects the sun and starlight! And oh... [she sighs dreamily, as if talking about a lover] the Earth's so pretty when you're standing there. And you feel small and... large at the same time, and it's like... everything that's ever happened and will happen is on that small blue marble floating in space...

[doot doot doot, don't mind her fiddling with her phone. then she shows Elizabeth this picture.]

You can't see all of Earth 'cause the lower part is in shadow. Kinda like how you can only see part of the moon sometimes from Earth? But if you're standing on the moon the Earth's got phases just like the moon does!

[She is interested, as much as she is watching Amelia, happy to see her so proud of herself.]

That's amazing, I'm so glad to see you go so far...

[Not that she knows much of what to make of. She's still a little confused at the world being round.]

Of course I have! I've done so much in just a few centuries, more than anyone else! [And her mood seems to improve now that Elizabeth has told her she's glad.]

Oh oh, I wish I could show you all the stuff my people invented. We just sent more uh, we sent more... mechanical cart things to Mars! Ooh ooh--

[finds another picture, this time a picture of Mars.] See?! This is the picture our machines took! It's a sunset on Mars. Isn't it beautiful? That's our sun, but from a totally different planet!
