Hey, so I know you are a little bit overwhelmed right now with all these new things - and by all I mean just switching over to a new method of doing things - but try to calm down, okay? I don't want to have to live inside a head that is constantly exploding. It's no bueno.

We both know I'm freaking out enough for the both of us.

Just take it easy. It's not like I have things I want to be doing. Like working on my lacrosse game. Or my Lydia game No, that's over now.

You didn't think that maybe the time I went missing for two days with no memory right after I got attacked by a werewolf might've been something supernatural? You know, between you and Scott, I really thought you were the brains of the team.

The bite kills or turns. You didn't do either. I thought that meant that you were fine. And just so you know, I didn't sleep the entire time you were missing.

Full moon, blood of the guy who killed him, that sort of thing. I've got all my notes at home. Why, you want to resurrect someone?

[He stops short. He shouldn't have said it. ]

Do you think Jackson should be dead, too?

[He thinks. His brow is furrowed and his mouth in a grim line.]

Do you think we should turn him into the police?

Oh yeah. That would go over really well. We could tell my dad. "Hey, you know all those animal killings? Those were Jackson, only he was a giant lizard at the time. Oh, and he has no memory of the murders."

[He rolls his eyes.]

He'd believe me for sure.

Yes, because keeping people in the dark has worked out so well so far.

We're NOT bringing my father into this, Lydia.

What, you're "protecting" him, too? Who made you the Beacon Hills Batman?

Seriously Lydia? Everyone is running around with claws and fangs and neurotoxins. All I have is my head and my sarcasm.

[Crosses his arm across his chest.]

I'm not Batman, but the only thing keeping me from it is my father being alive, so if it's alright with you, I'd like to keep him that way.

So you think having him out on the streets trying to catch bad guys, with no idea that other people have claws and fangs and neurotoxins, is really the best way to keep him alive?

I think that before I knew about this stuff, my biggest problem was that I couldn't get you to notice me. Now I'm more worried about keeping people alive.

Maybe ignorance is bliss.

Look, if your dad were just a regular guy, then maybe you'd be right. But you really think that in this town he's going to stay ignorant forever? You think it's better that he's carrying mountain ash and wolfsbane in his pocket or do you think he can take down a hostile werewolf with just his gun and his ignorance?
