So, hey, mun? We should probably have a little chat. Look, the Star Wars movies were cool and all, but I don't really want to live in 'em. Plus, don't you already have two people from my world there? You'd have to drop one of them, and even if I can't think of any reason you'd rather have Anya than me, it's still not nice.

...be kinda cool to use the Force, though.

I know you're not. But, ... I just think some -- carefulness should be. Uh. Used.

Right. Very careful. Except for the laundry list of times your carefulness failed to show up to the magic party. [ Okay, that was harsh. Sigh. ] I'm not saying never, I'm just saying that these things take a lot of training.

Haven't in a really long time? Can't have been that long. I've heard futuristic horror stories about memory loss. I -- Look, I'm not trying to bust your chops, I just think the Force isn't something you mess with lightly. It takes a lot of hard work, a lot of training, and even then it's a long while before you can honestly say you're ready.

Believe me when I say I know the feeling. But, that's not what I'm doing here. You asked if you got a lightsaber, and I'm telling you it takes hard work, a whole lot of training in discipline and a whole lot of being careful.

Doing magic. Not training in magic. The Force isn't something that can be self-taught the way you've been doing with the magicks. It's volatile.

I know you can. If you get a teacher and listen to the lessons.

That's because you can usually get away with skipping the lesson part of the lesson.
