Um... If there was another place, it's true I would have picked it. This place... [Sakura can't stop the faint blush from spreading over her face.]

You're concerned about it too, aren't you?

[She tilts her head, managing a soft smile.] But Kurogane-san and Fai-san are there, so at least it won't be lonely. And if we're all there, perhaps one day Syaoran-kun...

[The thought of all this is too much and she has to end there from mass amounts of blushing.]

You know I can't help but worry. [ Takes her hand and holds it in his own, patting it affectionately. Perhaps, in a situation that cannot be changed, a more lighthearted topic is appropriate. ] Even so --

Sakura-chan, it's very good to see you. [ It's been so long for him, and he definitely misses her. ]

I'm glad to see you too...

[She watches him curiously but smiles nonetheless, sensing it's been longer for him than for her from the way he says it. It's not any less meaningful from her though, considering his condition last she knew.]

It's another place where time passes differently?

You could say that it is. It's hard to tell where this place stands in time, because all the residents are pulled from different times themselves.

[ Reaches out, and strokes her hair a little, nothing but warmth in his eyes as he looks down. ]

It has been a long time since I've last seen you.

[She leans into his hand, returning the smile, comfortable and content as she gives his hand a little squeeze.]

For me, it hasn't been long at all.

[Her eyes meet his, trying to read what's behind his gaze.]

You've haven't been lonely, have you? Because you have Kurogane-san with you.

What sort of place are you going too Princess?

Ah, Syaoran-kun!

[She covers her face a little over the blush.]

It's a world where Twelve Gods rule the people there. It's a place in danger, so I'll see if there's something I can do.

You should be very careful, Princess. I know Fai and Kurogane can protect you, but just promise me you'll try?

[He does sound a little interested though, tilting his head to the side.] The city I'm in is rather dangerous too, but there are a number of spirits that control it. I hope this place you're going to isn't like it.

Of course! I'll be okay, don't worry about me, okay?

[Her brow knits at his mention of being in a dangerous place.] What about you? Are you taking care of yourself too?

It's very hard not to, but I'll do my best to try.

[He pauses a moment, thinking before he shakes his head, urging her not to worry herself.] I'm in a city called Adstringendum. Fai and Kurogane are there, as well as Mokona, but...you actually just left, not too long ago. [He's been trying to pull himself together, but he's taken the loss rather hard.] I have a pet though, he's a large breed, called a chocobo. He has been keeping me company.

They are beautiful animals, I think you would like them very much.

[She won't question the 'she just left' thing since things are by nature a little strange around here, but smiles more at his mention of the animals, clasping her hands together.]

A chocobo? What a cute name... what do they look like?

They are birds, much like chickens, but their legs are long and they are capable of being mounts.

[He gives her a fond smile, knowing that she would enjoy the animal if she could.] He's feathers are white, but they come in many different colors. And when Miss Sakura from a different world was there, I let her name him. And she chose Tsubasa. I think it's rather fitting...

[She gives a soft, light laugh, nodding in agreement.]

It's a very nice name, of course.

[She's trying to picture the bird he's conjured up in her head, tapping her chin a little.]

Then... you ride them around? It doesn't hurt them, does it?

Not at all. They are used for that purpose where they come from.

I was rather surprised, but a friend from their world was told me a lot about them. And how to give them proper care. He's very well mannered, too.

[Watching him and hearing the mention of a friend there, she smiles more warmly at him, tilting her head just a little.]

You sound as if you're happy there, Syaoran-kun... I'm glad to hear that.

[His eyes avert catching hers, blushing at her words. Well...he could say he was happy, but he knew there was no happiness like when she was with him.]

I am...though at times it can be trying. A world without the princess is very lonely.

[His own words bring a similar blush to her face, looking at him with surprise and a little concern.]

You're lonely...? If I...

[Her gaze drops, trying not to assume too much from him.]

It's difficult when the worlds are so far apart, isn't it... [For her as well.]

Very difficult. [He returns softly.]

B-but I am trying very hard to stay positive. Because that's what you would do. [And if anything, he lives by your example, or at least tries to.]

[She hesitates a little.]

There's no Syaoran-kun where I'm going either... But I will try to do the same. [She gives him a little nod and a small smile, trying to continue with the mood he's set.]

I'm sure you'll have no problems. You've always been so good at that. Being optimistic.

I just... [Sometimes she feels it's all she can do, her only contribution.]

If I can help it, I'll always try to be. [With a little nod, she fixes him with a determined smile. If she can keep encouraging him from afar, it's worth it.]

So, they want to bring you here, huh?

[Well, that's kinda screwed up. But he knows the situation all too well. =|]

[She gives a solemn nod, looking down a little.]

It can't really be helped... [She looks up with a light smile.] But I'll be glad to see you and Fai-san there!

Maybe it can't. . .[He lets loose a low breath. This wasn't really in his hands, and he knows it but. . .Mouth a tight line, he falls silent for a long moment, and then another exhale, relenting.] Yeah. . .I'm sure that bastard will want to go finding you first thing.

[Not like he wouldn't either, but let's not say that aloud]

[It's alright, he doesn't have to say it. Her smile is affectionate to him, because even if the subject matter is far from ideal, there's an immense amount of comfort just in seeing them there.]

Mm! I'll be looking forward to seeing the two of you when I arrive there.

Aa. . .we'll keep on eye on things then.

[Really though. . .he's sorry to see you subjected to such a world. Even more so without any sight of that kid.]
