A List

1) Do stop tormenting the other mes. I know you're bored and you handle boredom as well as I do, but that's no excuse. You have other matters you need to attend to and that would be a far more productive use of your time. I don't like running into myself. It always gives me a ghastly headache.

2) You need to work harder on recruitment for [community profile] captio. You know very well that I need an assistant.  I prefer John, he's the best assistant I've ever had - don't tell him that.  He'll let it go to his head and start to think he's intelligent.  If others showed up, I wouldn't be too upset, though I'm not sure about Mycroft.  It might be best to keep us separated for awhile... Of course I haven't forgiven him.  Why should I?

3) I know you're getting all sorts of ideas about Mrs. Hudson and myself due to this article {spoilerish for Reichenbach Fall}. This is an ineffectual use of your time and a waste of my energy.  And while we're at it, it is quite clear that the person who suggested that maybe we marry, doesn't understand the first thing about asexuality and hardly seems to understand how I work.  I only keep things that interest me.  John, Mrs. Hudson, Lestrade - even Molly and Mycroft have their places and jobs to make my life interesting.  Books, the Internet, my research tools:  They interest me.  Cases that I have solved before the person finishes speaking are boring and I move on quickly. Sex, breathing, and good manners are all overrated and therefore boring.  It's really quite simple, why more people don't understand these things... well, it's because they are boring and perfectly content in their dull little heads.

[ A tired sigh because John knows it's not beneath Sherlock at all. ]

If you're so sure you can.

[ You know, find someone else who would put up with this kind of behavior. ]

LOL I have so many of them bookmarked and yes Ten ;; that was brillant

Honestly, Sherlock, you're not even considering any other possibility?

[ So much assuming! ]

Suuuurrree ;3

Sherlock. You're completely overlooking the most obvious solution...

[ Because, the doctor knows deep down, it's hard for him to even imagine a life without Sherlock Holmes in it now... ]

[ John rolls his eyes. ]

My mun points out how we can have an existence - both of us - outside of the game.

A "verse" is the phrase they keep using.

I experience that a lot myself :3

[ And, because he feels maybe the other will admit to it if John does first: ]

You can have both.

It you want.

I've had mine since I was much younger so /is kinda used to it in a way

You can go to this other place, this city you were talking about.

And you can stay here, with me.

/nods it happens more than people realize, I think :<

[ He sounds sad. ]

I can't go with you, Sherlock.

Why can't you stay, too?

[personal profile] hisdearblogger 2012-01-27 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
... I don't understand.

[personal profile] hisdearblogger 2012-01-27 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
[ It does hurt to hear that, in truth. But John won't admit to that out loud. ]

I've met other Sherlocks, you know.

[personal profile] hisdearblogger 2012-01-27 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
That despite that I'm still here with you.

[personal profile] hisdearblogger 2012-01-27 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think you could try that for me?

Even if you do meet another John Watson in this other place?

[personal profile] hisdearblogger 2012-01-27 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ There's a soft smile, tone sincere. ]

I believe you are capable of many things, Sherlock Holmes.

(And that is one of them.)

[ At first, John was confused as to why Sherlock just started playing, almost unsure if he should be waiting around for something or not.

But after hearing those words... a whole new kind of understand dawns on him and he can't really find anything to say in response.

Just to nod his head and sit down in a nearby chair to listen to the other man play. ]
