An Unamused Elf

Fate has very little to do with our meeting today for this was predetermined long before you've noticed my presence.

[ A slight frown settles on his lips as he regards the "scribe". It's quite easy to see that he's displeased. ]

Am I bound to you as you are bound to me? If so, this bond will vex us both if we do not strive to nurture it well.

[Kronk just gaped at him. How was that much shinyness even possible?]

[ He spares the man a quick glance. ]

Because you're all shiny and stuff. [Kronk wasn't even jealous... he was just amazed. A real man unicorn!]

[ Well there's a handsome man if ever she'd seen one. Aerith smiles brightly and greets him. ]

Oh, it's really not so bad, sometimes you can have a lot of fun with your mun!

[ In all truth, Celeborn isn't quite sure why this man thinks he's a "unicorn". Only unicorns cursed by the blight of mortality would ever don a human form or so the fables state.

Eying Kronk rather curiously now, he finally answers him. ]

[ Unlike his previous encounter, Celeborn greets the maiden with a slight nod. ]

I suppose there's other fates worse than this. Although, I'm admittedly not fond of being at the whim of another.

[Perhaps, Celeborn could tell by Kronk's voice or the vacant expression on the young man's face that he wasn't awfully intelligent. He probably heard that unicorns are shiny somewhere and then he noticed that this gentleman was very shiny too! And that was enough to... come to the unicorn conclusion, apparently.]

I'm... uh. Kronk. I'm also not a man unicorn. [He smiled and held his big hand out, for a friendly handshake.]

[ Her smile broadens a little at his greeting ]

Oh I should say! But it really isn't so bad, if you're nice to your mun then you'll be put somewhere where you can make lots of friends.

Or girlfriends!

[ What?! She can't help but tease someone that serious ]

[ He figured that much considering that Kronk doesn't seem to be the brightest individual he has met so far. However, it's unlike Celeborn to judge too harshly at others shortcoming. ]

That's quite simple for one to tell, Kronk, for unicorns have no need for a human vessel.

[ A girlfriend? Heavens no! He's married, Aerith, and happily so. ]

Friendships are welcomed but only in the platonic sense.

Woah. You sure know a lot about unicorns! [It was almost suspicious! But Kronk believed him.]

I bet you're someone important, right? [Kronk thought about that for a bit.] Are you the Emperor of your people? [He'd never seen anyone that looked like Celeborn before, so he figured the guy wasn't from Peru! He didn't have brown skin either.]

[ You really, really shouldn't take offense Celeborn, Aerith is like this with almost everyone. It's quite innocent really! ]

[ He's not taking offense at all. If anything, this ancient elf is rather humored with the maiden's reckless tongue. ]

I don't think there's such a thing as "too freely"!

Yes, I am their lord and sovereign but I do not "rule" over them as a emperor would.

[ Knowing full well that Kronk wouldn't understand the meaning to his words, Celeborn does his best to humor the childish man with a better explanation. ]

I simply offer guidance to my people in times of peace and act as their guardian during times of strife.

[ Such an amiable young woman she is. Aerith almost reminds him of his granddaughter, Arwen, when she was a young elfling. ]

That I agree and if I dare so state your name is quite beautiful, almost elven in design.
