Of course I kept my rethorical skills, even if I had lost a bit of focus at that point. Optimus might be a fool, but it would have been useful had he joined me.
However, I wonder at how simple you are if you think all that had happened would truly have made me as base as you thought.
[He chuckles, dryly and surprisingly soft. Not so much unused as at a pitch not normally used.]
It's a wonder you can muster the brain power to let me speak, mundane.
[You'd think that word was an insult... on the other hand, he probably just made it one.]
At least you aren't completely hopeless, even if my presence at that game would never work... I do approve of the plans you'd ascribe me.
Fitting very well with my original plan for Cybertron and the universe.
[You can just hear the non-voiced laughter under those words. Not a very nice one, unsurprisingly.]

[No . . . no, he does NOT want to talk to the tyrant, thank you OH so very much, mundane! But . . . as he's been kicked to the forefront of the headspace from his fellow
puppetsmuses, he'll straighten and offer the overlord a small, stiff bow.]Lord Megatron, it is...good to see you, sir.
[You didn't notice that faint hesitation. At least, he hopes not. Because he really does hate lying...but what else was he supposed to say?]
no subject
Indeed. How good, though, I wonder.
[Or maybe he won't. But that's technically more rethorical than an actual question... the show of respect has at least earned that.]
Nevermind that. If I understand these things correctly [and by his tone, he doesn't think he's wrong] you seemed to have survived destroying a bomb better than Superion did.
[He doesn't really have issues with why it was done, or that it effectively went against an alternate's orders.]
L-LOL busy day got busy. And late. 9,9
[He hides the wince well, thankful that he's not outright asked to elaborate. The second comment, however, he's . . . fairly sure a response of some kind is expected.]
I honestly hadn't expected to, sir.
[Hm, a change of subject might be in order.]
Sounds like your mundane isn't able to have you go to the game she'd originally intended. Do you know if she has another in mind?
c: No worries~
No? That much of a death wish, or was there some other reason?
[Besides being a foolish hero for creatures who didn't deserve it, no matter who actually launched or used the bomb in the end. Useless drama.]
She hasn't. Not necessarily a bad thing, though she would be forced to cease her foolish shenanigans that she's been engaging in in private would I be going anywhere.
[The expression balances somewhere between amused and disgusted.]
=D Btw...I haven't read past "Seasons in Flight" yet, just fyi. X3;;;
[He nods, addressing the latter before facing the former.]
As would mine. I can't help but wonder if forcing my mun's "shenanigans" into a public forum might be a good idea. It would probably be tamer than what she gets away with in private arenas. ...probably.
[He cycles air through his vents, forcing his mind back to the first issue. No, not a death wish. And . . . okay, so maybe he had actually expected to live, though he'd accepted he might not. The risk had been a calculated one, releasing the bomb and getting well back from it before detonating it. The majority of the damage he'd taken had been from landing so hard again back to the earth...after his wingmate had shot him point-blank in the face. He's...very careful to keep that irritation - the anger from the sense of betrayal (Warp wouldn't even listen to him!) - from showing on his face, lest Megatron take it wrong. As it is, it hits him that this is the first time he's faced the overlord - even a version of - since that day. Understanding that he's...probably in for a beating for speaking his mind at all, he keeps his tone neutral as he straightens, chin proudly up and wings high on his back.]
We are Decepticons. We are forged in combat, not the senseless massacre of lesser beings not worthy of our attention. [Even if a tiny
rather largepart of him doesn't really agree with that last anymore, not after over two years trapped on their world and observing them.] There is no honor in base slaughter, Lord Megatron. We are better than that.[Been mentally rehearsing that? Yeah, he's had quite a long time, alone, to think about what he'd say...]
xD; I've hardly ready any IDW at all, so...

How disappointing.

[A pause simply so he can stare, perhaps amused.]
"Disappointing"? Lying has never been something you engage in well, Starscream, and apparently that holds true across dimensions.
no subject
[ha ha he can't say it without laughing]
Uh. ..but really. It's not that I wouldn't be thrilled to see you. Your presence just ...complicates.
no subject
I'll be impressed if that happens. That would truly be rising above your base nature.
[Arch look and then a sneer.]
And you seem to have settled, though I can say the same of the one I count as my own second in command.

You would be amazed what they can do when they set their minds to it, these mun people.

Doubtful, as my possible precense there relies on the fact that another... that she "plays" there might interfere.
[He doesn't really mind, though it's a pity to loose the chance for such plans as have been presented.]

[What is it with evil robots and hubris? Is it some sort of standard feature?]
no subject
[No, just a feature of Megatron's, and at least he's got a few ways to back those things up.]

Suppose it's bad that his first thoughts are him wondering how well he can best himself in a fight. Perhaps another day.]
Mundanes are not well known for their thinking capacity.
[He's being generous in assuming that they're capable of thought at all.]
no subject
That would be the least of it, as well as lacking in their ability in seeing certain subtlelties of our persons.
[He's not impressed at all that it took the mundane that long to actually see the similarites between his speech to Optimus and his past. Oratory drama was something he was well-versed in.]
[Also, you'll surely forgive him for slowly circling. This is indeed most interesting.]
no subject
For such small creatures I would not believe that they are as arrogant and foolish as they are. But they are just full of surprises.
[Megatron is extremely confident in his fighting abilities. His arrogance allows the other Megatron to circle him while he stands proudly still, waiting to see if the other one will make the first move. A sharp grin tugs at his mouth and his fingers twitch in anticipation.]
Optimus Prime's protection of them is... amusing in a way.
no subject
You spend long enough on the planet, and you see them for what they truly are; their arrogance only outdone by their foolishness, and selfishness trumps both.
[Rare were the cases it didn't, and Megatron paid it no heed.]
Amusing, misguided, a waste.
[Of Optimus' time and effort as well as of his. But nevermind that. The slow walk-around finished, Megatron back where he started and facing his alternate... No, he wouldn't be attacking this soon.
But his stance is wide, settled... able to spring into action or defend against a blow.]

Bearing in mind alternate realities, yes. [Not that he's ever been called by that particular title, however. He hardly minds.]
no subject
Have you dealt with many alternate realities for long, Sir?
no subject
Helm tilted, he gave Starscream a stare, optics narrowed. Was was even the angle here?]
No, only in this place, and I haven't cared to explore it much, as it has no bearing on anything actually important.
