Formerly of [community profile] lastvoyages, long ago...

Just because your leash has grown slack, don't go thinking I've misplaced you... It's not that easy.

It's something I've allowed.

Tolerated.

Freedom can be such a thoughtless cruelty.

Fascinating.

Yes, indeed.

Of course, freedom can also be ... well freedom. I consider it quite the blessing, personally.

As a holographic lifeform, I'd say 'efficiency' is the operative word of the day regarding my code and functions.

And who is to be the judge of what is the best 'guidance' for me? You? I'm one of the first sentient holograms to exist and an exceptional example among even that; I doubt you have any kind of experience with me or my kind.

My data, once protected, is a veritable one-'man' collective in and of itself, and unlike organic lifeforms I am immune to your assimilation nanoprobes. Likewise, attempts to alter my personal programming to emulate assimilation will fail, as I still will not have a connection through your collective, and I also have authority over my own programming, and can accept or reject new code at will now.

Don't you ever shut up?
