voicetesting what is my life?

Miss Mun,

This is absolutely absurd. You can't just take a man away from his crew and his ship just to do this thing called a voice test. Wasn't that something people in the twenty-first century did? Sit around their computers staring at their screens and playing? Some of us have better things to do like make sure every single one of those blasted creatures off my ship while ensuring that my crew doesn't get into another scuffle with the Klingons.

I don't much care for your notion of sending me to Canada.

So send me back at once.

[Thankfully John has a little more dignity than Chuck. Still, fanboy.]

It's not that bad once you get there.
failedparenting: (20: lol)

Part of your crew's already there, you won't be totally alone.

[He's suppressing it. Poorly.]

Ah- I'm a crazy drunk person. You should probably actually ignore me.

[It's pretty believable ngl]

I mean not the dangerous kind. I could lose a fight to a pile of straw. It's pretty pathetic.
paterelohim: (= i'm very important)

Probably, but it makes my writing better and I need to make a living somehow.

By the way, time in these games works so when you eventually get sent home, you go back to the exact moment you left with no memory of ever being gone. You don't have to worry about the Klingons.

Dr. McCoy.

[But inside he's saying BONES, IT'S BONES.]

Something wrong with Canada?
vintage_fine: (still the captain)

Sorry, I can't resist

[personal profile] vintage_fine 2012-08-12 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey there, handsome.

Look, far be it from me to tell you how to feel, and I sympathize. I do. But maybe you can make the best of things.
vintage_fine: (contemplative)

You're lucky this is the Kirk you got. I have like 6 to choose from.

[personal profile] vintage_fine 2012-08-12 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I've heard very different things about Canada. But you say Bones it already there?
vintage_fine: (still a badass)

You're welcome to TOS, TOS!mirror, XI, XI!mirror, or Jodie T Kirk :P

[personal profile] vintage_fine 2012-08-12 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. One of those. I personally have never been dragged off to anything like that in this context, but I've heard on good authority that these people enjoy such pastimes.

The only thing I've found to console myself with is the idea that whatever we are is a symbol to people, and that my--our--being is one they wish to emulate.

Canada? What the hell, Jim?
vintage_fine: (getting older)

hold on, then...

[personal profile] vintage_fine 2012-08-13 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean. It's not exactly comforting. I'm thinking more about what they call "fanfiction," which at least generally ends with lots of sex.
well_notonly: (got my eye on you)

I've never been on this side of one of these...

[personal profile] well_notonly 2012-08-13 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. So you're James T. Kirk. I thought you'd be... taller.
shortarmofthelaw: (depressed)

[personal profile] shortarmofthelaw 2012-08-13 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think that matters to these guys. I'm in the same boat...

...Except without the boat.
