On replaying Honest Hearts, picking his way
Dear Mundane
The White Legs are no more and the Sorrows have their home again. Daniel may disagree but in the end it was the right thing to do. Again, I offer my thanks to your Courier. She truly was a good neighbour to us. And she was right to stop me at the end.
You are correct though. Daniel truly lost out, no matter what road we chose. But with God's will, we will not need to make such a choice again. And I hope he can come to peace with what has come to pass. The world needs people like Daniel. To balance out the people like me.
And perhaps the legends of the Burned Man will start to fade. However, that may be for the best. Peace, is something I never thought I'd find. It would be nice to experience at some point of my life.
God be with you,
Joshua Graham

Mr. Graham, it's good to see you. [This here Courier misses her Zion broskis.]
no subject
It is good to see you as well Courier. How is the Mojave?
no subject
The Mojave? The same as always. ...I've been thinking a lot about Zion lately. About Daniel and Happy Smiles and Follows-Chalk. And you. Maybe... maybe getting revenge on Benny's not the right thing to be doing here.
no subject
Perhaps not. What is your current situation with him right now?
no subject
I know where he is. He's at the Tops. But I... I haven't worked up the guts yet to confront him. What he did demands justice. But I'm not sure if I'm qualified to deal it out.
no subject
[You can't tell of course, but he smiles at that.]
Justice. Such a difficult thing to find. And even more difficult to deal out when it affects you.
Tell me. What do you believe would be justice for this man?
no subject
[The Courier smiles faintly for a minute.]
Poetic justice would be two to the head and a shallow grave. But I think something else would be better. He ruined my life. Maybe justice would be to ruin his.
To let Mr. House know what his wayward employee did to the woman carrying the Platinum Chip to his doorstep.

Interesting thoughts. What do you think Mr. House would do if you told him that?
[He has his own idea's of what the answer would be. But he's interested to hear hers.]

Hopefully, kill him. I just want to get this over and done with. And then drink until anything makes sense. I'm just a courier, Mr. Graham. Why do I have all of this on my shoulders?
no subject
Perhaps it was God's will. Or fate, if you'd prefer.
