He was a gladiator advocating for freedom and equality, and stuck with that even when his comrade Orion Pax became corrupted as Optimus Prime. He is the Decepticon leader. My Soundwave also acts as his adviser and chief communications officer.

RESPONCE: Accurate. Orion Pax never altered designation or function duty.

How is it possible Orion avoided such alterations and survived while the war is on?

RESPONSE: ORION PAX has been unlocatable for a long time. No confirmation of survival or extinguishment. MEGATRONUS does not proclaim ORION extinguished, retains hope of uncovering him.

[Shakes his head.]

[OOC: Now, this scenario with Orion waking up to a war after being in stasis lock reminds me of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" in a good way, I love that show.]

[It's not exactly his Soundwave, but he's close, and Starscream reacts to the similarity, falling back on his tendency to trust Soundwave with sensitive personal information.]

He and Elita and others had me...captured, for an extended period of time. For experimentation. My home sector probably thought me dead. And yet I survived.

So I was also unable to be located for a time, though not as long as your Orion. As such, there's a chance he survives too.

QUESTION: STARSCREAM felt forgotten.

[He focuses much more on Starscream's own story than the mention of Orion. While he would like to have the Archivist back among them he was neutral on his opinion of the others fate. Instead he focused more on what was in front of him.

One of his tendril cables slipped out of his chest compartment to reach out, intending to touch the other flyer lightly on the shoulder. It was strange that even with similar worlds this Starscream did not really seem exactly like the one from his world, who had run away.]

[Starscream stilled as Soundwave reached out to him. He let the other flyer touch his shoulder. This Soundwave really was very similar to his own.]

[Soundwave took the fact that Starscream had not backed away or avoided the touch as a positive thing and let the end of the tendril create a petting motion on Starscream's shoulder.

He nodded once in response to Starscream's thanks. Listening was what he was good at, and he enjoyed it most of the time, but when he couldn't find joy in it he often found comfort that he had provided something beneficial for the one he listened to.]

[At the cough the tendril draws away from Starscream's shoulder, though it does not retreat fully. In doing this the communications mech backs off just a bit without actually stepping back from Starscream.]

Uh, then...I'm sorry, I have more questions about your dimension...did my counterpart ever cross paths with Ratchet?

[If he hadn't, maybe...maybe Thundercracker and Skyquake were still alive in this Soundwave's world. The thought both hurt and comforted him.]

RESPONSE: No data in memory of meeting.

[Soundwave did his best to avoid the subject of Ratchet all together, but he wouldn't deny the other an answer to his question. And it was accurate, he hadn't heard of Ratchet getting hold of Starscream ever before, and had no knowledge of what had become of him since he had left.]

Have you heard of Thundercracker and Skywarp in your world?

[These questions caused him to pause and delve deeply into his memory core, searching for any instances of the name. What he did find did not inspire much confidence, only mentions in passing, but it neither confirmed nor denied their survival.]

[Starscream nodded. At least they existed in the other world.]

[He gave no response to the thanks with the exception of a small nod. Instead he reached a hand up to touch Starscream's shoulder. It was strange, the way this Starscream was alike, but just different enough from, the Starscream of his world.]
