...You're a very hasty mun, aren't you?
[seriously what is this even for what is the purpose. there is no purpose. so what are you doing]
You really need to focus on a clear goal and learn to stick with it. Not making a habit of commitment isn't going to get you anywhere.
...and where's Riolu?

[A pause]
What's a Riolu?

Riolu is one of my Pokemon. You must not be from Sinnoh?

Oh - you're from another world, aren't you! I was told about that.

I've never left my own world before. It's always been enough for me, as interesting as this is.

Nothing like that. Just Gym Leader duties and occasional troublemakers, on my plate.

Gym Leader? Like a fitness gym?

[explaining things from the ground-up hoo boy]
It...represents the city in the Pokemon Association and national League. And as its Leader, I'm partially responsible for public safety in Veilstone and supposed to promote good practice in Pokemon training.

Sounds like a tough job.

She seemed as earnest as ever. [understatement she took off her coat in the snow that girl] Last we spoke, she was going to ask Candice for permission to enter Lake Acuity.

You have a Riolu? Those are kind of cute, I guess! So long as they stay little, I mean. Totally the wrong type, though.
no subject
What?
[what do you mean wrong type]
Um...
no subject
Yeah! I mean, there are cute Pokemon in every type, even a few cute Bug-types, but Normal-type Pokemon are the cutest there is. They're way versatile, too!
no subject
I train only Fighting-type Pokemon, so I don't know much about the Normal-type. [No need for resistance training against it, after all.] Except the common ones, like Bidoof.
no subject
Oh, so you're like Chuck and his Trainers, then, huh? Well, there are lots more to Normal-types than just Bidoof!
no subject
She's listening, Whitney. Go ahead and talk about demoncows.]
no subject
There's loads of dual-type Normal-types, like Girafarig! I have one of those, and it's super useful! It can fight Ghost-types and not worry about getting hit by a Ghost-type attack! Then there are others like Clefairy and Clefable! Super cute, and super good at the Pokeathlon!
Those aren't my favorite, though. My favorite ever has to be Milky, my Miltank! You so wouldn't think she's as strong as she is by looking at her, but she's my best battler!
no subject
What's the Pokeathlon?
no subject
It's a kind of sporting event you do with Pokemon! There are a few different categories, and each one has three events. The team with the most points at the end wins!
no subject
What kind of events are there?
no subject
Well, there's five different categories, and they are Speed, Power, Stamina, Jump, and Skill. The games in each of the categories work so that the Pokemon competing can use their talents to the fullest! Like, I usually compete in the Speed category, so my Pokemon would compete in the Hurdle Dash, Pennant Capture, and the Relay Run! See, they all involve being fast, right? That's why they're in the Speed contest!
Maylene *a*
[Hi, Maylene. We know you're very focused and goal-oriented and all that, but. You need to relax sometimes.]
cynthiaaaa
[talk about a surprise visit]
That's true, of course, but...
so happy to see more Sinnoh people ;w;
And also be considerably less formal, too. Just Cynthia is fine, you know!
the whole league is perfect in spe, after reading vol 3 i couldn't not
What I meant to say is that you don't have to not make plans to have fun...
I play mine gameverse, but Sinnoh is flawless everywhere ;w;
Well, that is true. But a little improvisation can surprise you in wonderful ways!
