voicetesting, but also re: mun's bizarre indecisive bouncing around as of late

...You're a very hasty mun, aren't you?

[seriously what is this even for what is the purpose. there is no purpose. so what are you doing]

You really need to focus on a clear goal and learn to stick with it. Not making a habit of commitment isn't going to get you anywhere.

...and where's Riolu?

Yours too?
dinosheriff: (wary)

[personal profile] dinosheriff 2012-08-07 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I think so. Mind you, I've jumped into some things without thinking. Maybe it's human nature.

[A pause]

What's a Riolu?
dinosheriff: (huh)

[personal profile] dinosheriff 2012-08-07 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh, no. I'm from Boston. That in Japan?
dinosheriff: (sherrif)

[personal profile] dinosheriff 2012-08-07 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Technically, I'm from two, but don't ask me to explain it. My daughter's better at that stuff.
dinosheriff: (oooh)

[personal profile] dinosheriff 2012-08-07 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
So no creepy time portals for you? You're missing out, but there's a lot that's not in the brochure.
dinosheriff: (smile)

[/slow clap]

Gym Leader? Like a fitness gym?
dinosheriff: (huh)

[personal profile] dinosheriff 2012-08-09 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorta like a town sheriff. [Yes, that's the analogy he's going with] Except with these Pokéthingies.

Sounds like a tough job.
torterra: (>「return」)

[personal profile] torterra 2012-08-07 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... it's better to take your time with these kinds of things, right? [ of course Dia would think that, though... ]
torterra: (>「tackle」)

[personal profile] torterra 2012-08-07 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[ he nods - ] Yep, it's me! It's been a while, hasn't it, Miss Maylene?
torterra: (>「stone edge」)

[personal profile] torterra 2012-08-07 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, we're alright. Little Miss, Pearl, and I... we had to split up for a while. [ ... ] Um... when you saw her, she was doing alright, I hope?
torterra: (Default)

[personal profile] torterra 2012-08-07 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I see...! Then everything must be going well. That's good to hear. [ ... ] Um... and what about you, Miss Maylene?

[ignoring all that other stuff to focus on what's important here--]

You have a Riolu? Those are kind of cute, I guess! So long as they stay little, I mean. Totally the wrong type, though.
rollout: (Thrash)

[personal profile] rollout 2012-08-07 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[she means fighting types are muscular and sweaty. Normal all the way]

Yeah! I mean, there are cute Pokemon in every type, even a few cute Bug-types, but Normal-type Pokemon are the cutest there is. They're way versatile, too!
rollout: (Assist)

[personal profile] rollout 2012-08-07 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[of course it is! It's better when you beat a gym challenger with some cute pink blob, okay.]

Oh, so you're like Chuck and his Trainers, then, huh? Well, there are lots more to Normal-types than just Bidoof!
rollout: (Thrash)

[personal profile] rollout 2012-08-07 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[demoncows are the best Pokemon, okay. Everyone else just doesn't understand.]

There's loads of dual-type Normal-types, like Girafarig! I have one of those, and it's super useful! It can fight Ghost-types and not worry about getting hit by a Ghost-type attack! Then there are others like Clefairy and Clefable! Super cute, and super good at the Pokeathlon!

Those aren't my favorite, though. My favorite ever has to be Milky, my Miltank! You so wouldn't think she's as strong as she is by looking at her, but she's my best battler!
rollout: (Body Slam)

[personal profile] rollout 2012-08-08 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
[pokemon how rude]

It's a kind of sporting event you do with Pokemon! There are a few different categories, and each one has three events. The team with the most points at the end wins!
rollout: (Metronome)

[personal profile] rollout 2012-08-08 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[it's her favorite non-battling thing to do, and it's only in Goldenrod City, which makes it even better]

Well, there's five different categories, and they are Speed, Power, Stamina, Jump, and Skill. The games in each of the categories work so that the Pokemon competing can use their talents to the fullest! Like, I usually compete in the Speed category, so my Pokemon would compete in the Hurdle Dash, Pennant Capture, and the Relay Run! See, they all involve being fast, right? That's why they're in the Speed contest!

Not ever making a commitment can be a bit of a hassle, I'll admit. But I see nothing wrong with doing something simply for fun sometimes!

[Hi, Maylene. We know you're very focused and goal-oriented and all that, but. You need to relax sometimes.]
battledancing: (pic#1275872)

so happy to see more Sinnoh people ;w;

[personal profile] battledancing 2012-08-08 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
No but! You need to loosen up and have a little fun sometimes, Maylene!

And also be considerably less formal, too. Just Cynthia is fine, you know!
battledancing: (pic#1275879)

I play mine gameverse, but Sinnoh is flawless everywhere ;w;

[personal profile] battledancing 2012-08-08 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[She means it well, really.]

Well, that is true. But a little improvisation can surprise you in wonderful ways!
