She thinks too much.
[ What should I tell her? It looks like everyone mostly complains about their mun here, but I don't mind going to a game.
I'm pretty happy that I might get to actually, since everyone's strange toward me at school.
I'll miss my family though. Maybe I should complain about it? Oh-- the post already started, maybe I should say something.
What should I say?
Aki-chan said when talking to new people I should at least say hello. This was supposed to be to my mun though wasn't it? What was the game she was thinking of sending me to?
And Fuyuki finally speaks, after having spent half of this post blankly staring while her brain went through all of those thoughts. ]
Holly Heights? Luceti? Thoughtformed? Which?
[ That first one is the place where everyone gets different families, right? ]

wow i'm going to stop editing my comment now
Too late, Once-ler, she's gone. Enjoy the silence.
Not that it's actually any different.
--Oh but she comes back after a minute or two, holding out a blank CD case.
If I give him this, maybe he'll give me a CD too so I can listen to his normal music.
That would be better than an autograph. Then I'd know who I was getting an autograph from.
...I forgot to ask his name. He didn't ask mine though either, so is that okay? He's not asking for my autograph though. It's still okay, isn't it? As long as he doesn't sign like a doctor I can get his name from that.
It's too late to ask for his name, isn't it? Since I already asked for his autograph. I can at least tell him mine. ]
I'm Fuyuki Sakamoto.
olympic gold medal for editing goes to youuu!
oh wait she's back. head. tilt. why is she bringing him a cd. is she sharing music now? music pals?
do music pals exist?
wait that thing's blank! EEEE SHE WANTS HIS MUSIC.
TAKE THAT TOMATO THROWERS. HIS MUSIC IS AWESOME ]
I have no idea how to record on to this without equipment or anything but I'm very flattered and will need to look into that. Nice to meet you.
yaaaaay can I have a party!?
A ten year old is definitely the best judge of music, Once-ler.
Don't you just copy and burn it onto the disc with your computer? Maybe he doesn't know how to use a computer like old people.
Or maybe he doesn't have any official releases yet and he's in one of those bands that goes around doing only live concerts because they're so famous that they don't have to release CDs. Those exist.
Wait, he said without equipment. That makes sense.
--He should still sign it, why is he just standing there? Take the CD already.
Fuyuki nudges it toward him a little bit more, hoping that he'll take it. Telling him 'here' would be too pushy. ]
the biggest party of them all!
HEY HEY KIDS ARE THE FUTURE OKAY. They are legit judges for things. What they like now could be the next big thing, ya know?
He will gladly take that off your hands. Let's just kneel down to her height here and sign this-- or go to and then not. 'TO F-O-O... no that can't be right. ]
How do you spell your name?
no subject
He probably doesn't know kanji.
That's how it's spelled though. Maybe I should show him? I would have to go run and get something else to write on though unless we write on Kotetsu.
Poor cat.
Maybe he knows kanji? It'll be insulting if I go get something to show him how to spell it and he already knows how.
If he doesn't know how and I expect him to that might be a problem too...
I'll just tell him. ]
Sakamoto is spelled with the kanji for hill, then the kanji for blades of grass and my first name is the kanji for winter and then the kanji for princess.
[ Wow suddenly talking and she said that all like... kind of fast and bluntly, without taking a breath. ]
no subject
Uh-huh. Uh-huh... [ writing--- no ] Wait. Kanji? Is that some kind of hyroglific thing?
no subject
I was right, he doesn't know kanji. He's not Japanese so I shouldn't have assumed that he would. What if he thinks I'm dumb now for thinking that he would? I guess that's better than him thinking that he's dumb for not.
I'll go get a paper.
Brb again running off now without another word. ]

Where are you-? ...I'll wait here? We should get some more communication going.

Another couple of minutes later, Fuyuki returns! With a cute little notepad that's like a blue argyle-patterned cat face or something and she writes out " 坂本冬姫 " for him, then passes it over.
Maybe I should've written the stroke order. Would that help? Would he know how to read that? If he doesn't know what it meant he might've written the numbers and arrows... That would've been funny but kind of embarrassing.
I still don't know his name. It would be even worse to ask now than it was before though.
I like his pants. I don't think anything I have would go with that though. I'm amazed anyone has something that would go with that, they seem hard to match.
I should learn to write my name in romanized letters. ]
no subject
Oh good! You got paper. [ and he has absolutely no idea how to go about this but he's giving it his best shot and carefully trying to copy it the best he can on this CD case ]
..Soo you said this kanji thing meant stuff. So your name is actually Winter Princess Hill?
no subject
Does he not have foreigners where he lives? I thought most peoples' names meant something that they didn't actually call them.
Otherwise it's just random letters...
He forgot one of the kanji, too. I didn't say them that long ago and he's writing four down. If it was just those three my last name would be "Saka." I don't think I've ever met anyone just named Saka.
It would be pretty easy to make puns with that. Especially if Saka lived in Hiroshima.
Okay, there's a little smile on her lips now at her own mental jokes.
Oh right, answering is a thing. She shakes her head, back to her usual expression, and answers. Her family told her when she doesn't completely communicate what she means, things can get confusing though. So she definitely should try to explain this as thoroughly as possible.
Okay! Determination face on! ]
It's just like someone's name having a meaning. My name is still Fuyuki and my family name is Sakamoto. Fuyuki means "winter princess" and the kanji in Sakamoto together mean someone who lives at the bottom of a hill. Fuyuki is a boys' name if you write it with the kanji for winter and snow. That's why it's important to know what kanji is in a name, otherwise you could be writing someone else's name, even if they're read the same.

Good job, self. ]
You got talkative. [ not an insult. he's just noting it. she must've warmed up to him. yup. ] Ohhhh. That's actually really cool. ...My name doesn't mean anything. At all. Yeaaaah. [ COUGH
moving on. he'll hold this back at to her. ] So! Here you go. OH WAIT- [ pull it back ] You wanted actually music on it, huh? I could bring it back later...
no subject
It would've caused a misunderstanding if I didn't right? That's what Aki-chan and everyone said.
It wasn't that she'd warmed up at all, it was more that her family had expressly told her that if her point isn't getting across, she needs to say something. So she makes sure to get what she needs said all at once.
I still don't know his name so I can't think of anything it would mean anyway.
He's not giving the CD back.
I should've given him something different to sign so that I could get his name. What do I do? Now I'm not going to be able to know what to call him.
Maybe I should make up a name for him... Mr. Music? That doesn't sound like a name, he'd know that it was just because I didn't know his name. I need a better nickname.
Those striped pants are weird.
I like his hat though, and his vest. Maybe I should call him "The Vest." It sounds like a superhero.
Fuyuki silently nods, after a minute or two of silence. As long as he didn't need to check if he knew her name, this would be okay, she could find out when he returned the CD. ]
