I don't know, girl. It has potential, certainly, but you know what? There's more to me than ax-crazy psychopath, which you've been ignoring. Don't get me wrong, flexing the grip of a handle when it actually hits something other than that dumbass chef, that's nice. But I had a wife and son, you know. I have pathos, genuine feelings other than...you know. I don't think you're exploring that enough. That hurts.

I'm a writer, you know. I have heart and sincerity. What about one of those romance things? I think I'd do, well, real nicely in one of those.

[ No thanks. He'll pass on the drinks. He's learned, you see, what happens to the unsuspecting when they partake of his hotel's hospitality. ]

Don't put much stock in the heavenly celestial beings, you'll find. The guys below, however...I can get behind them more than a god. No offense intended, of course.

Oh, I'm afraid I'm not overly heavenly, though I know some who better fit the term. Tell me, if you would be so kind, who these guys below happen to be.

Can't say I know all that well. The hotel I'm caretaker of was built over an Indian burial ground. Apparently they had to stave off attacks, I'm sure plenty of people died. Maybe that's who they are.

[If he's talking about her a little possessively, well. It's his job, right? He just wants to do his job the best he can, really!]

[ He can only assume this has some of significance to humans, so he nods and pretends like he understands. He doesn't. But that's okay. He doesn't want to hurt the hotel. Everyone else, maybe, but not the hotel. ]

But wait, what? Jack's seen an awful lot of bizarre things, but that's not exactly one of them. Men with cracked skulls toasting to parties is more like it, really. He's obviously taken aback, but he did mention being a god, now didn't he?]

[People who delight it in it, who are vicious about it and the ones that do it more than once. Or maybe karma will get you. It doesn't have to be the law. He knows how corrupt they can be.]
