I have but one question for you, Miss Mundane, and that question is thus: what, exactly, is the point? From what I've seen of your era, it revolves mainly around the glowing of bright screens of all shapes and sizes, zoning out thought processes for a quick fix of some form, things that most certainly do not do much in the way of legitimate mental stimulation, but seem instead bent towards the quick entertainment of the masses. The entire culture you're currently living in is rash and absolutely drunk on instant gratification. It's disappointing, to think radio waves and tele-vision waves have become nothing more than useless staples in a household, as opposed to doing some form of good.

You're wasting both your time and mine, Miss Mundane, with these little games of yours, and as long as absolutely nothing is actually being gained, physically nor intellectually, I cannot say I'm prepared to stand for it. You'll have to make do as is.

Of course, you might try, say, picking up a book instead, or perhaps trying your hand at an algebra problem or two. Anything, anything but wallowing in self-made stagnation, I beg of you!

[Sherlock Holmes is basically the most entertaining thing in the world. Seriously, so entertaining. Screwing over crown heads of Europe and stealing paintings is one thing, but it is nice to know that when she fancies a rest, Holmes is here to keep her from boredom. That last comment she will take as a compliment. And smirk, only a little preening. But continue airily on the subject of Holmes's hypothetical teaching career.]

You might teach acting. The stages of Europe would be blessed with a generation of actors taught the craft of deception from Sherlock Holmes.
