Desiring to make the right impression.
Ahh, my little sweetling. I know I can handle whatever I encounter, but are you brave enough to find the right words for me? Start small, my darling - and remember, I am with you always.
Your only,
Desire
Your only,
Desire

The demon sighs, "Yes, the things we Desire are not necessarily good for us, but often times they are the simplest. As I said to another, sometimes Desire is merely to have a shoulder to cry on or a voice to answer in the darkness when the nightmares strike. I cannot bring back the dead, no matter how much you wish it, little Hawke, and if you want to know what they would think of you, I can only offer what your own mind provides - something you could easily do yourself without my assistance."
"I am just the Maker's creation," she shrugs and the chimes shake in the languid movement, “same as you.”

Tensing at the mention of death - Bethany, Carver, Mother, all of them are a raw, hurting spot in her heart - Marian refocuses. "I would never ask it of you. I have more sense than people give mages credit for. You seep into the minds of innocents and offer them the things they're not even aware they want. You twist their wants and use it for your own gain. There is no way to make that sound anything other than it is, surely even you must agree with that."
Her arms fall to her side and she sighs. "Not all of the Maker's gifts are good."
