(no subject)

So, I understand that you, for whatever reason, have this inexplicable fascination with Ian Doyle and whatever feelings we may or may not have or have had towards each other...

But isn't it enough that you've assigned me to fight repeatedly for my life in a kill-or-be-killed forum of the quasi-reality show of the "Hunger Games"?  Is it really necessary for you to search desperately for another mun to bring Ian to life so that he may too try to kill me?  (Or compete with Derek for my affections as the case may be?)

let's try this again

Oh, is that what those books are about? That reminds me of the gladiators of ancient Rome, most of whom were slaves and literally fought for their lives in front of arenas of thousands of people. Did you know that there were actually special schools designed to train gladiators?

I don't understand why Morgan and Doyle would be competing for your affections, [He's clueless on those sorts of observations.] but it seems as though your mun has plans and ideas which can be.. dangerous.

Mun wonders why you and Morgan are never where I am. It's probably because she protects me too much. She won't allow me to go to some of the more.. harsh places.

I-I guess I should be grateful.

It doesn't sound enjoyable. It sounds like the punishment of Prometheus.

[As someone who's been near death several times, the idea of having to go through that constantly would be a nightmare.]

Sometimes I wonder if my mun thinks I can't handle such places.

[He's wrong (for once). His mun knows he can handle them, she just doesn't think that he should have to.]

Not really. Celebrity and notoriety leads to scrutiny.

[He remembered how the press had hounded Lila.]

I don't think I would comply with a totalitarian government either. Of course, my method of resistance would be more passive-aggressive... more like Gandhi. Civil disobedience.

That's true.

I'm sorry you're stuck there, Emily.

Is.. that what happens if you win?

[And winning comes at what cost?]
numbersnfigures: (distressed)

[personal profile] numbersnfigures 2012-07-31 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oh.

Wouldn't... winning entail killing Morgan?
numbersnfigures: (what?)

[personal profile] numbersnfigures 2012-08-01 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
So.. you're hoping someone else kills him then? Or that he kills you? Those are your only alternatives to not killing him yourself.

[Perhaps, but...]

And you think he's going to let you die.. again?

[This was Morgan, so the answer was no.]

Morgan's the type of man who is going to do everything in his power to have things his way.

I suppose if your only options are to die or kill each other, then one solution would be to have two other people kill you.

Or to refuse to play.

Your mun wouldn't want that.

If you're permanently dead, then she can't play with you anymore.
