What's done is done, my dear.

Let us not dwell too much on it, it will only make you regret the decision more. While I will not miss the city of Abax in the slightest, everyone I have come to know and befriend shall be missed terribly and... I hope they find a way out. In fact I know they will, of that I have no doubt.

From here on we can figure out what to do, there are many options after all. Let us decide which is the best course of action and go along that path, yes?

I am sorry for leaving at such an inopportune time, Julian. I should be there, but things are never as they should be it seems.

You've been there from the start. What if Cyclops takes over?

I admittedly don't know Scott that well, but I would assume if Erik stays around he will lead as he had been beside me.

Do you believe there will be issues with who 'leads' now that I am gone? [The city wouldn't let it. Or he highly doubted that. It had it's own agenda for everyone in the city, but that didn't mean things wouldn't happen. He worried about them all as he sat free on the outside of Abax now.]

Uh. Are you kidding? Of course there'll be issues with who leads, it's the X-Men. There's always issues with who leads.

Erik's gonna want you back. You know that.

Dare I ask how often this issue arises? [He looks sadly amused, because he can believe it. So many mutants with different ideals wanting to do what they thought was best for their kind... if was a breeding ground for trouble with a capital T.]

[And he's sorry that he had to leave him, he'd thought they would have had more time in Abax before they had to face their futures. Well, Charles had to face his, Erik would be in Abax without him. But Erik was ever strong, he would make it without him, as much as he would rather be by his side.]

I am so sorry... you must know I did not wish to leave you behind. For all that Abax is a place I would not wish to return to, I would have liked to have taken you with me.

I want to go with you. I will miss you a great deal and I had so much left yet to learn from you.

Oh Charles...

[There is a sad smile.]

You still think I am the better of the both of us, that I am stronger than you in so many ways. You are not as weak as you think you are. I hope you can one day understand this and see that you have so much to offer people.

You are the better of both of us. I do not know that I can survive that city alone, Charles. You were very much my anchor, more so than I think I realized than just now.

But you are not alone. I know it seems that way, but you have people there who care for you, who will follow you and be by your side, Charles.

[Burke not withstanding... but even right now, he understands that horrible man is some sort of comfort and anchor for his twin.]

It is not the same, Charles. You were the closest I've ever had to a brother and a best friend. I knew I could go to you for any reason, ask you for anything and you would be there.

You never turned me away or let me feel ashamed of needing help.
