Regarding his username.
[He's glaring the glare of a hundred annoyed suns at his mun right now.]
Seriously? That is what you want to fixate on?
Seriously? That is what you want to fixate on?

OMG CHRIS ;w;
[And a teasing smile.]
CLAAAAAAAAAAAIR~! ~w~
[And have a teasing hair ruffle in return.]

[She smiled putting- or at least attempting to put her arms around you for a hug. Except you're so damn ripped now that she can't quite make it.]
... I miss the days when I hug you and touch my hands.
[Maybe she was exaggerating just a little bit.]
no subject
[And Chris smiles, draping his arms around her shoulder too.]
I miss the days when your biggest concern was homework... but you've sure come a long ways, Claire. I'm proud of you.
[Sentimental sap mode activated!]
no subject
[She smiles at her older brother, pulling away to look up sat him.]
And hey, I've moved from homework to bioterrorism reports with the occasional getting caught up in an outbreak. You're the one I have to worry about.
[She gives him a strong look, before hugging him tight again.]
no subject
[He forces a smile, swallowing his own worry. She may have the Redfield survival instincts, but she doesn't have formal training or access to weapons and support the BSAA offers.]
Just... promise me you won't take any risks and will try to stick to just the reports. I lost Jill once, and... I don't think I could forgive myself if anything happened to you.
no subject
I never take risks Chris. Trouble likes to follow you and me around. I just tend to get caught up in it at the worst times. And how can you say don't worry about you?
[She gives him a little jab of the finger.]
I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't worry.
no subject
I know you worry about me, and that's fine, just don't worry too much, okay? And I know you'd rather be out doing something about things on the front lines, but you're meant for so much more.
On the front lines, all I'm doing is putting out fires. The BSAA can only react, like the police. And the thing with this sort of terrorism, once you react you've already lost the hearts and minds of the people you're dealing with... because they don't have any.
You are out there winning over hearts and minds. I'm holding back the tide while you win the fight. Don't ever forget just how important you are to the world.
no subject
[But it was hard. She had experience fighting these things. She was strong she was capable... yet she's doing all the activism. And She know her brother is right. On every level. And that's the burden she took.]
I'm sorry. I know you're right. But... knowing you're out there putting yourself in danger while I'm trying not to lose my temper with the bureaucrats. I mean, I understand, the work I'm doing in important.
[She sighs. But she was always more of an active person then a pencil pusher.]
I'm thinking about starting another bike restoration.

[Chris playfully punches Claire in the shoulder.]
Oh? What kind?
no subject
[Damn it! Why are you so brothery. She can't be mad at you for any length of time. Unless you cut the hair off of her barbie. That she still holds a grudge for.]
Another Harley. Mine will always be my baby, but I was thinking about making one up to plus plus size for a certain someone's birthday.

no subject
Yeah, it was kind of my only option at the time. I'm Chris, by the way.
[Chris is going to just ignore the laughing for now to focus on Sherry.]
no subject
And it worked? [She's impressed] Chris... Wouldn't happen to be Claire's older brother would you? I know she was in town looking for him.
no subject
[He nods.] Yeah, but I wouldn't try it again. Nearly shattered every bone in my hand.
no subject
Though the friend of Leon's... Sheva, she's cool too, little strict, but considering I am the youngest I can see why she wants me to stay in my room until the ship's checked out.
[She frowns at that.] Why did you have to do it?
no subject
[He smiles and ruffles her hair slightly.]
See, Sheva's a friend of mine, and we were going after the bad man responsible for what happened to Raccoon City, and the boulder was between me and Sheva with the bad man about to reach her. I wasn't about to let the bad man get to her, even if it meant punching through solid rock to do it.
no subject
You got him right? He's not going to do that to anyone else? [there's half a beat] Who was it? I know it wasn't Daddy. It couldn't have been... [Yep she's starting to tear up a little]
no subject
Yeah, we got him. He won't be hurting anyone else. ...His name was Albert Wesker.
no subject
But... Wesker is the Captain of STARS he's one of the good guys... How... [This confuses her because he's babysat her before when Mom and Dad had to work late]
He isn't good in labs either... they, it moved too fast to be natural, Umbrella was behind it weren't they? [She looks up still tears in her eyes, but she needed to know if her Dad and Mom were involved. her hand went around the locket she wore.]
no subject
Yeah. Wesker had a lot of people fooled. Me included. Whatever good there was in him was lost a long time ago.
[He starts to speak again, but the words get caught in his throat. Finally he looks away, unable to look Sherry in the face.]
...Yeah. The virus was engineered by Umbrella in a facility under Raccoon City... until someone caused an outbreak.
no subject
I'm sorry.
[The next bit has her look down.]
Meaning Daddy was probably involved... He was one of the researchers. [She doesn't look up since really that bit of news stings a little but it's not that surprising.]
I'll trust the word of one of the S.T.A.R.S. because the few that went to the school to talk to us kids were good people. If my godfather turned it was just him, not the rest of you. And you stopped him before he could hurt others. [She touches his arm a moment, making sure he was okay with it before giving him a hug]
no subject
There's... no easy way to say this... but yeah. He was involved. I don't know why, or any of the details...
[He smiles softly about that. He remembers going to give talks at the school with Barry and Jill. It was the one time he saw Barry acting... natural and wasn't awkward in the least.]
Yeah... a lot of good people there. I'd trust each of 'em with my life.
[He goes quiet for a moment before saying anything again.] So, where are you staying these days?
no subject
They were nice. And it got us out of math tests. [There's a faint hint of a smile there.]
I'm at a place on a boat. There's a lot of people there, but from what Leon said the last time they were on an island and it got scary. I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad on the boat though. Not enough places to hide. At least that I could find.
no subject
Well, you stick close to Sheva. She's one of my partners, so I can tell you she's one of the good guys. If anything happens, I'm sure Sheva can keep you safe.
no subject
I will. And I'll stay near Leon too. There's others there that will look out for me too.
no subject
Leon's there too? Good. Between the two of them, you'll be fine.
no subject
[She nods] He's a roommate, so's Daddy. I think whatever the group controlling the cruise, is probably trying to see which of them snaps first. Though hope they don't fight. I really don't like it.
/late forever but couldn't resist.
It's never too late for Sheva!
[This moment of wisdom brought to you by Barry Burton. Making things awkward since 1996.]
:D!
[She's amused, though there's a serious vein that slips into her voice. Remember Chris, with great power comes great responsibility. Or so the movies say.]
no subject
[Hey, we left Wesker in an active volcano with two RPG's ramming down his throat. We've earned some relaxing humor.]
no subject
[And Sheva still thinks Wesker got of easy, but Chris does have a point. Though how does one relax during hours of debriefings, paperwork, and inter-agency politics?]
no subject
[The way Chris does it is usually falling asleep during debriefings and giving one of the secretaries the puppy eyes until she does the paperwork for him.]
no subject
[Clearly they need to obtain more male secretaries around the offices to avoid such clear abuses of power and puppy dog eyes.]
