I admit, I had my misgivings. Watching someone else puppet me through that third act of my life, all over again - who wouldn't? Just to see what got tacked on... Yeah, make me sound like merchandise, why don't ya'?
But it's... Exhausting, yes. But what happened after? Getting to see that? The plaque... Joker... Hacket's book-end.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't flash back to the SR-1. Walking through that wreckage... Even on this side of things, the place still gives me chills.
But thanks. Not for the pain - but then, that wasn't yours to give. No. For the memory. For making me remember why. The stakes. What could have been. Gives me a sense of... Knowing, I guess. Knowing it mattered. Knowing it counted.
Knowing they lived.
