You and I both know that's not how life works, kid. You only pass through this world once, and sometimes the good guys get hurt - worse than hurt - trying to do the right thing. Nobody knows why, so don't go looking to me for sage advice - I'm just an old guy with good aim.


But....here's one thing I do know. I shoulda been there. I shoulda been helping Mike instead of frying bacon with Barry while Nate bled out on a sidewalk. So if I'm not my usual happy Sammy self for awhile, back off and gimmie a break. Charlie's dad is dead. It's time for me to roll up my sleeves and help out.
