On being sent to a few memes

Don't you think some of the memes out there are entirely inappropriate for a married woman such as myself, mun? I mean I don't mind some of them. Such as the domestic and marriage memes, but being held captive is going too far.

Please try to stick to some of the more tame memes if you must send me anywhere.

I too agree captivity is unpleasant, but it spurs need for escape. Need for escape allows us to draw upon strength we did not know we possessed.

I know of no one else who raised you from the time you were a newborn into adulthood, Loki.

[Not feeding into his drama is wise, he'd just find ways to say uglier and uglier things. When he looks up, he's still weeping but he's deflated slightly.]

[She can't help but reach out to him. Her small hand resting on his shoulder, trying to comfort him as best she could]

Thor was barely weaned when Odin brought you home from the war.... I had no say in the matter. I took you in my arms, so small and fragile, the child of our greatest enemy, and I loved you as if I had been the one to bring you into this world.

[He tries to shrug away from her, then the strength sags out of him, rage fully replaced by despair. He's feeling sorry for himself and still blames the other Asgardians for his own steadily increasing dementia.]

But 'twas not you that bore me. Odin no doubt slew my mother and took me to be a trophy of war. I was to be a tool for diplomacy. He never loved me.

[Her hand never slips from his shoulder, no matter how he may try to dislodge it. She could sense something was unbalanced within him and as a mother she wanted to banish all of his pain]

Odin looked me in the eye and swore he found you abandoned, but we do not know much about the frost giants. You could have been placed in that old temple in order to keep you hidden and safe while the war raged. I cannot say whether you were truly abandoned or not.

He saw no female there to defend or comfort you.

Whatever plans Odin had for you when he took you from that temple banished within the first few days you were in our care. You're too young to remember how he doted upon you. Thor took to you immediately as well.

There are far worse places to be sent. Tempting these minds is most unwise, as they tend toward the sadistic.
