So...
I was there before, but it wasn't the same me, is what you're saying. Something like "It's kind of like how there are ten billion Starscreams and they're all different." Yes, that pop culture reference from your universe? It totally makes 100% complete sense to me. Absolutely. Yep.
But I do understand how strange it is to go back home after someone's changed the place, though it seems this one was in better hands. I'm not sure how I'll handle everyone thinking I'm god...

The point is, stop fretting over my backstory and the history of the world, you silly thing. While you don't have it all nailed down yet, you've got a clearer idea about me than the... other... me... or something, and yes it's all rather convoluted, but you hardly plan on canon updating me, yes? Though maybe you should lay off the dead wife thing. Angst is unbecoming, after all. Even if I'd never speak of it.
