Oh no, you don't, dearie. I've been patient, mind, terribly patient - waiting for you to hold up your end of the bargain and you have failed to deliver. And I simply will not tolerate that. It's bad business, you understand, and that's what I am first and foremost. A businessman.

Now, you want to muck about in this, fine. But consider me out of the deal until I see something in writing, and don't come crying when you find you're in over your head. After all, we both know you know better than to trifle with me.

[Why Mr.Gold, Why?]

She's probably trying her hardest...

theboywiththebook: (something there)

[personal profile] theboywiththebook 2012-07-26 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[Maybe if you were more patient Mr.Gold they'd be able to get things done faster and they'd just be asleep for as long as he was after turnover of death.]

Well, our muns do have other things in their own lives they need to do.

[Can you tell he's nervous? After all, Mr.Gold is pretty intimidating.]
theboywiththebook: (yeah....)

So far you're amazing at Mr.Gold.

[personal profile] theboywiththebook 2012-07-26 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[Than get some more. Oh by the way, thanks for almost killing me. You know, all the warm fuzzies right here.]

I...I guess so. But sometimes it takes awhile for them to feel confident with our voices. My mun was really nervous when he decided to take me up. But, you just gotta have faith that they'll finally become comfortable.

[Though, probably one of the very few people Mr.Gold actually likes in Storybrooke, maybe?]
theboywiththebook: (annoyed)

You know what would be horrifying? If it turned out Baelfire was Henry's dad.

[personal profile] theboywiththebook 2012-07-26 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yeah well, doubt Baelfire will if he finds out.]

...Thank you?

[Not sure if he should be flattered or not.]
theboywiththebook: (disheartened)

Same, but who knows what they'll do to us.

[personal profile] theboywiththebook 2012-07-27 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Alright...

[Yeah, well, Henry's always found you creepy. So kind of weird to hear that compliment.]

Ah, yeah, my Mun had a game all set out for me the moment he took me. I'm in Mayfield...it's like Storybrooke. But worse.

theboywiththebook: (I'm not crazy!)

[personal profile] theboywiththebook 2012-07-27 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[Not funny Mr.Gold.]

Last time I checked, we didn't have monsters running around in Storybrooke attacking people.

[The horrors of Carnivalfield will forever be with him.]
theboywiththebook: (uh huh sure)

[personal profile] theboywiththebook 2012-07-28 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Evil Clowns using razor wire as lassos?
theboywiththebook: (Thoughtful)

[personal profile] theboywiththebook 2012-07-30 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[Finally, he wins at something and it's not because of someone using him as a puppet on strings.]

I've heard of other things Mayfield's done but that's one of the worst I've seen.

[Did he mention there was no food and drinkable water in this carnival and they were all stranded?]

Business not going so smoothly, Mr. Gold?
lucency: (o o 9 » new and a bit alarming.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-26 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? And what bargain is it this time?
lucency: (o o 1 » this provincial life.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-26 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
To finally have the world at your feet! Where to? Well - providing everything gets back on track.
lucency: (o o 5 » offered him a single rose.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-27 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Turtles? [That's a new one. She laughs. Then - a beat and a shrug.]

Could do them all.
lucency: (o o 2 » sweet and almost kind.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-27 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Your confidence in her is truly astounding. [A grin.] Though, I do suppose you know her better than I do. That doesn't mean she can't surprise you.
lucency: (o o 7 » it's my favorite part.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-27 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Pleasant? I think you'll make an adventurer of yourself yet, Mister Gold.

And keep talking like that, and you'll have me thinking you've missed me. [belle stop.] I wish I could report any interesting developments for myself, but, as it is...
lucency: (o o 1 » this provincial life.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-27 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Take a carriage. Why make an excuse when you can have that luxury?

[OH WELL IN THAT CASE.] Oh, if that's what you'd like to call it. [she laughs.] But yes, it seems that way. For now. Mine - she goes through spurts. She isn't a bad person, but it's frustrating. You understand.
lucency: (o o 2 » sweet and almost kind.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-27 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That does pose a problem, doesn't it? You'll just have to get some suitable companions to carry you around in the armchair of your choice. And you're not old. I won't hear of it.

[yeah gold because that line was the coolest. ice cold, even. she tilts her head slightly.] That I deserve? That's very kind of you to say. But remember what I just told you.
lucency: (o 1 3 » my heart's far far away.)

[personal profile] lucency 2012-07-31 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Why not? I don't see a problem. If it doesn't work out, just - insist that your servants turn around and take you home immediately.

Perhaps not a tower. Other than that, you might be surprised. [N O T. R E A L L Y. and then there's a good-natured eyeroll.] No, about you having me thinking you missed me.

[personal profile] loveislayered 2012-07-27 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
In other words you made a bad bargain.

[Belle can't help smiling, even laughing. Not mockingly, just out of a sense of poetic justice]

Muns promise much in the beginning, but rarely put enough effort into anything.
loveislayered: (Default)

[personal profile] loveislayered 2012-07-27 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I see.

[She's still finding so very much irony in this]

Was your mun looking at any games?

[personal profile] offwithhishead 2012-07-27 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Because encouraging one of them to action always ends so well for everyone else.

[personal profile] offwithhishead 2012-07-27 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, you shouldn't. Not like they respond to threats, or magic, or... oh wait, they don't.

Go for it though. Have fun with it. End up in the same new prison as the rest of us.

[personal profile] offwithhishead 2012-07-28 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
If you want sugar coatings there are plenty in Storybrooke and elsewhere you can talk to.

Your mun can't be that bad if they're not listening to you.

[personal profile] giftigen 2012-07-27 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
She deserves what she has coming if she decided to do business with you at all.
