[Scrap, how do you talk to kids to make them feel better? Having her pressed against his hand sobbing into it didn't help him in the least, because he was already a fish out of water when it came to parenting. But if Bulkhead wanted anyone to look after Miko, it was Wheeljack, and he knew it.]

[With careful precision, he attempts to pick the girl up.]

[She lets him pick her up, if anything helping him out just to be closer.]

[He pulls her up to his chest area, slotting her in right where the large plate starts so she has an area to sit on.]

[She curls up a little in the space, appreciating the comfort that comes from being held close like this.

She gives a wet, teary sounding laugh at that, though it is a fairly honest laugh.]

Of course he will come, with you and me there he can't not. I mean we are what, the best friends in forever to him? He has to come join us.

[A finger goes under her chin, practically lifting her whole face up.]

Just hold out until then, got it, partner?

[She doesn't mind and in fact nuzzles down into the gesture more.]

[She has no idea how to handle this, Jack just gets moody so this sad feeling aspect is out of her depth.]

Giving up already Miko? You never know he's stubborn and may surprise you on this. Just mind whoever is there until that happens.

[ He shuffles awkwardly, then bends down and spreads his arms. ]

I wanted to go have fun adventures on Cybertron with him...

[ Sits down with her in his lap and holds her close to his chest, rolling his engine so that it purrs -- an instinctive gesture of comfort that takes the place of attempting to rub her back with his oversized Cybertronian hands. ]

[She is just going to cling there for a while, hiding any signs that she is even crying from anyone else.

She tries to agree but only makes a sound that is somewhere between a hiccup and a sob. Instead she just nods, finding comfort in the sound and feel of his engine.]

[ He just settles his arms around her and keeps purring, feeling inordinately protective over this small organic girlchild... not that he'd ever admit it out loud, but she does mean something to him, annoying as she may be at times. ]

[Don't worry Ratchet, she won't tell anyone about this, cause then she would have to admit being so upset. Eventually she will quiet down until even the small soft sob-hiccups go away, of course she has also managed to fall asleep against him.]

[ Ratchet notes the slowing of Miko's breathing, but he doesn't connect the dots until he realizes that she's not making any sounds anymore. Concerned, he tips his head down, then blinks. ]

Oh.

[ Well... it wouldn't do to wake her. She obviously needs the sleep. ]

[ Ratchet shifts, making himself comfortable, and keeping his arms steady to support (and protect) his friend. Then, he cycles his vents in a soft, slow sigh, before shutting his own optics off to catch a nap of his own. ]

[She gets the idea, that's not an uncommon thing to see on Earth after all.]

Maybe not this episode, but someday, you'll be together. The problems of a 'bot and girl might not amount to a hill of beans, but he'll find his way to come on down, I'm sure.

Well... "Probably" isn't a sure thing. Sounds like there's still a chance in there.

Maybe... I wish I knew he was coming, he's my best friend ever.

Mmn. I've been in that boat before, myself. It's definitely a miserable place to be.

Eventually. He showed up when I least expected it, and pulled me out of a really bad situation.

Oh wow, it's a really good thing he showed up then, isn't it?

Blukhead does that for me... getting me out of bad situations, like almost being shot by a Decepticon, or detention. [Never mind that the latter wasn't in choice and he scolded her for it a little bit anyway.]

[He chuckles.] Yeah... I get kinda lost without Philip around, sometimes. I could manage without him, but it just isn't the same.

Sounds like Bulkhead's a pretty good guy to have around, then. [Shoutarou gives the girl a reassuring smile.] If he does that kind of stuff on a regular basis, then hopefully he won't be gone too long.

Sounds like he is a really good friend.

He is, and he will totally even rock out with me, which is like the best thing ever.
