It... wasn't exactly your first decision. It started with just looking after me until a foster family could be found, but one night, I couldn't sleep and Alfred was engrossed in a good book... so I went exploring.

And found the cave. Still, it wasn't your decision to risk my life. It was mine. I knew the dangers, I knew the cost, and I chose this life. Yeah, I've gotten beaten up, shot, stabbed, and everything else, but I can't imagine myself doing anything else.

It's been years, Bruce, and I know it was hard for you, but you saved my life in more ways than one. ...And I like to think I've helped keep you sane too.
