So selfish are humans. You draw me from the sleep in which I will rest forever, and now I am left to nurse again the bullet in my chest. Is there no end to your selfishness?
I have lived long and seen many winters and summers in my forest. It is time for me to sleep. If we were not bound together human, I would take your throat in my jaws and rip you apart.

If humans are selfish, then so are we. Even I. Even you who would prefer to take rest than to embrace that which is laid at your feet.

nothing at all. ]
If that is your heart's desire, so be it then. I will aid her. I will grant her my blessing.

[ she seats herself. ]
Will you follow me there spirit? I should bite off your hair or your hand for being so persistent.
[ but there's a growling chuckle in her voice, is she serious or not? ]

[ Hm. ]
I will try not to be to cross with you.

[ she looks at him with steely eyes, a nod before she lays herself down once more. ]

[ A beat of silence, then: ]
Is there a message you would have me relay to her? To San?
[ What mother would not have words for her daughter? ]

I would have her live.
