So selfish are humans. You draw me from the sleep in which I will rest forever, and now I am left to nurse again the bullet in my chest. Is there no end to your selfishness?

I have lived long and seen many winters and summers in my forest. It is time for me to sleep. If we were not bound together human, I would take your throat in my jaws and rip you apart.

[a huge, talking wolf. arya's a little in awe, but the first question on her lips is not about speech.]

How many winters have you seen?

Hundreds, human. I have seen the forest turn such colors as you've never seen, and watched the snow cover it all just the same. I have seen humans come and go and sometimes not return.
[ her lips curl back a little, a showing of those massive teeth. a silent sign of where they have gone. for moro will devour those who tread upon her forest. ]

[she listens, fascinated, and steels herself to not shrink away from those teeth. fear cuts deeper than swords. this wolf is like a creature out of old nan's stories, but larger and more real than she ever could have imagined.]

Are you from beyond the Wall?

[ she smells her fascination, her fear. but there is a boldness too, and moro tilts her head. ]

I am from the Great Forest. I do not know of this wall.

[was it possible to be from so far beyond-the-wall that you didn't know what the wall was? arya wonders, and shakes her head.]

The Wall is north of my home. They say it keeps out the wildlings, and the wolves, and the children of the forest.

Then that is a foolish Wall. For you cannot keep out a God, child, let alone the beasts that dwell in my forest.
[ she pulls back her teeth and laughs, and it sounds like a woman's laughter though there is an undercurrent of growling]
