This is a mistake... - Canon is Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

You're aware how much of a mistake this is, right?

...

Then why've you done this? Seriously, what happened to taking it easy?

I sure do!

[ He rethinks the honesty of that statement, and then clears his throat with a sheepish look. ]

Well. I kind of bounce around a bit, from one company to another after the previous job ends. But I'm a photographer, no matter who hires me. Mostly freelance for newspapers and that sort of thing.

It's my- [ Feels around for the right word. ] ...passion, you could say. Don't think I could ever quit or try to do anything else and feel like I was still me.

Definitely.

Thankfully, it doesn't always end up being the really grueling 'snap a shot of this politician' or 'photoshoot for a prissy superstar' type of work. I kind of like taking pictures of the simple stuff, most. Sometimes I even do the odd wedding or promotional pamphlets for things like a school or daycare.

Those are the best jobs. It's hard to find a kid who isn't always smiling and ready for a picture, versus how long adults primp and fuss before one. It's easy. Annnd, they're a lot less angry if you accidentally take several shots of them eating three pieces of cake in one sitting! A bride?

[ Coughs, looking aside. ]

She tends to get really angry and harass you for weeks to edit her pigging-out from the after-party photographs. If it's not done well enough? She tracks you down and starts bagging on your apartment door and screaming at all hours of the night. Then your neighbors think you're some kind of scandalous playboy.

[ He awkwardly laughs, looking a bit queasy. ]

Being a photographer can get messier than you'd think.
