You say you're going to actually draw icons, to match what you guys have RPed elsewhere, but then stuff happens and you never get around to it. I get that part. Then you get your hands on... what you got your hands on, and decide to forget the drawings, and just take relevant screencaps and use those instead. I get that too, it's not like I look SO different afterwards.

Uh, for m-me, Mun uses it t-to help her remember. F-Four forms can be k-kind of hard to keep up with, e-even with f-four different so-songs, so the symbols h-help her remember w-which form is w-which keyword.

F-For others, I think it helps them r-remember which character's journal they're u-using? I-I'm just g-guessing, though...

I can somewhat sympathize towards your situation regarding icons, my friend. My own Mundane has been quite open in her distaste towards my own, emphasizing the transition from my two-dimensional conception into computer generation was, in her own words, "completely loused up." She's had the express desire to instead draw me herself... if only she were not so currently invested in a somewhat grandiose, but admirably ambitious project.

Admittedly, it's intriguing that such an inclination comes from simply an aesthetic preference, rather than due to any sort of alternative instance of myself... while I cannot say the same for you.

Very true, my friend. However, it isn't as much a vexation towards the faces and icons themselves as my Mundane's opinion that my character model makes me look, again in her own words, "older and fatter than I'm probably supposed to."

It's intriguing since "alternative" instances from the "original" incarnation, ones such as yourself, are typically most inclined to receive that sort of representation... while I am for all intensive purposes my "original" self, though with the implementation of much of what my Mundane has come to assume about my situation. I believe the word is "headcanon"?
