Whatever zir may be trying and failing to do with a heart, though, you may need to take into account how subjective something like "fun" is. I suspect this definition of it is rather closer to Larxene's than yours.

The goal was pure scientific research. The project has gone far beyond what I could have ever expected, though some undesirable side effects have come of it. Though it hardly matters. As long as they live, data can still be collected. [Somehow.]

Perhaps though I am not overtly fond of the 'die to fix things.'. Of course, it would be my luck to end up with someone like that.

What sort of scientist would I be, Lexaeus, if I did not take such an opportunity? Any data that I can collect should serves as a useful comparison against the last replication to bare my face. Not to mention the fact that such a thing is capable in the first place only means that I will be advancing my own knowlage in the process.

I'll do my best, believe me..... Even if I don't remember dying the first time, I've been assured that it happened. I think I'd rather not remember the experience, or relive it, especially when I won't actually be gaining anything like you will.

My mundane suggested you would be rather busy attempting to destroy the creature, rather than devoting attention to him--but if you can improve on your work, that ought to be far preferable to destroying something so helpful.
