He's far from home and still not happy

I may have had my passing moments of boredom, my dear, but what I have experienced pales in comparison to the levels you're displaying right now.

Yes, yes, you're inspired. Good show, really. I'm glad to see you enjoying yourself at my misfortune. This is hardly a partnership, and bribery won't be sufficient to make me pleased. None you could propose, and by the by, you couldn't afford me if you had the imagination to do so. Now, why don't you find someone else to inspire you, and leave me be, yes? It's not as if I'm asking you for Paris.

You are particularly susceptible to homesickness, Shade. [:c] Is there nothing that can be done to help you?

I do not consider it undue complaint. I --miss Odym, as well.

When you come to feel safety in a place, it can be difficult to leave it.

Not the planet of my birth, but the planet of my heart.

[the most ridiculously attentive] Can you elaborate?

Really? I make wild demands all the time.

Pretty swell, usually. It's all in how you ask, I figure.

No, I'm afraid you're stuck with me and the City.

Too bad.

She's trying bribery now? [ sob he's amused, SORRY MAN ] That seems a pointless endeavor to embark on.

Sadly, inspiration only encourages them, I find, and protesting does hardly anything. I suppose all that can be done is to endure.

[ who is ridiculously chill about everything? yes this guy ]

I know perfectly well what you're like, but I sincerely doubt you'll be left alone any time soon - much to your chagrin.

Perhaps a holiday is in order? Somewhere you haven't been before. [ there are apparently new countries! he's curious, anyway. ]

You'll have something new to write about, at least! I understand at least one nation has unusual mythology, which might or might not make for interesting listening.

It's promising!

Well, when you're immortal, I suppose your life is all about diversions. Though you'd have more knowledge of it than I would, I suspect.

How exciting! Although you could probably do without the murder attempts - but you're doing excellently, so I won't pry.

Doing that tends to drag on you, I find! You're not exactly able to get that time back, so there's not much use worrying about the things that have already happened. Unless you're a time-traveller, of course - but then that opens up a whole other world of problems, I've heard.

Still, murder attempts are unpleasant! Though I suppose for you, they'd be nothing more than another type of diversion. [ shrug. he'd worry more about you if you weren't functionally immortal.

time travel solves nothing, it just produces more complications, apparently. also a giant space cloud of shadows or something? what was up with that.
