[ A beat, another lapse of silence. ]

[ Aberdeen imagines: 'much the same'. ]

[ a beat of her own. ]

Slightly less so. [ she has her own reasons for doing what she does, and while they're not for monetary gain, they're fulfilling for her in a different way, a way that she supposes is similar to why alex does what he does.
