No señorita, I do not find the username you seem to have chosen for me funny in the slightest. Just because I have made a few mistakes in my life does not mean I do so constantly. You just choose to focus on those few mistakes.

The icons are appreciated though of course, you didn't make those. Make jokes about my efficacy all you want, but at least I'm not lazy.

At least your icons are actually you. I don't "officially exist", so I get a "played-by" who sort-of kind-of looks like me.

Everyone makes mistakes. I'll admit it's been luck that's gotten me out of the worst of it, but that's no reason to think I do so constantly.

I suppose there is something to be said for that.

I'm not saying they don't. Lord knows I've made enough of them. And anyone who was really a constant fuck up would be either dead or in jail or something, right? Don't see a prison tat, and you're walking and talking, so....

Amusing is good. You can have the name ironically, right? Mine's pretty straight-forward.

Ah no, that wasn't who I was referring to. Though I certainly know of him. And more about him than most people.

I'm a journalist, of a sort. Muckraking's still good business, y'know?

Muckraking kind of puts journalistic integrity into question though, doesn't it? Someone writes a BS sensationalist story on me or my father, and they'll find themselves in trouble faster than you can say call out the guard.

What kind of a sort?

The unofficial sort. Though I don't do much writing really. That's up to my... friends. I just find the things out these days. Get the evidence and such. So many politicians have dirty laundry after all, and don't the people deserve to know?

I dunno. Do the people deserve to know all your dirty laundry? Politicians are people first. They do stupid things, just like anyone else. And all the stupid scandal coverage sort of overshadows the actual issues. Who cares what the guy's views on the economy are when he's been caught banging a hooker? [Eyeroll.]

Nope, I leave the internet to people better at such things than me. I'm old school I guess. Give me physical papers. Actual signatures. That sort of thing. And just a touch of undercover work. Anything to get the information.

Hey, I agree. That stuff's bullshit. I'm talking more about... say using taxpayer money to funnel arms to Africa.

They're letting everyone in these days, it seems.

Huh, I was under the impression this was a public facility. No 'letting in' necessary.

In reverse, one must hope you capable of moving beyond your own shortcomings. By forgiving hers.

Old school journalist. [She nods at that. Kind of nice, actually.] Looking up stuff in physical archives instead of online ones. If you're in the States, you'd be the one making use of the Freedom of Information Act, I'm guessing, instead of hacking to find stuff out.

It's useful when it works. You hear stories every once in a while about it not working like it's supposed to. But that's bureaucracy, isn't it?

It's affecting import tariffs, and it's only gonna be worse when it's time to reevaluate taxes on sand and certain oils in the fall. [Eyeroll.] Of course it comes on my watch.

Spreading lies is an unfortunate standard, Monsieur.

Oh honey, get your America-centric head out of your ass. You all always think it's all about you and your adolescent country. And it's not. No matter how much you try to make it.

Also, check your maps. Africa is not the Middle East, last time I checked.
